Just let Mcdavid cherry pick, Brodie covers him, 4on4, easy win.

It's funny how oilers fans were claiming the last game was some sort of precursor to what the season would be, but the flames were not ready for that game. This game is a better indicator of what the two teams will bring imo. Lmao 24 shots allowed.

I think Kulak's has to draw in soon and Wideman is the natural guy to replace

I like that you can pretty much put whatever you want after Mc, I'm not sure my favourite yet tonight but McPrincess is right near the top.

It just annoys me when a young player is kept up to the big team and then sits in the press box.

Play him or let him go down and continue to get minutes, what's the point of sitting him?

Not to be pessimistic (I hate that I've become pessimistic) but all those defensive farts are still happening

My Rogers plan is expensive, I will likely be changing, just waiting for Christmas and good deals
$30 is a steal, wish I had that.

Defensive zone breakouts are very solid. Once the Flames get the puck they're making all the right plays to get up ice with numbers. There's a little spottiness with the d-zone coverage, but nothing that you would be surprised about being the 2nd game of the year.

Our transition defense is abysmal. Truly terrible. This is the only thing they need to work on next practice. Waaaaay too many odd-man rushes and breakaways, and there were similar problems last game.

Every single Flame on the ice has done a solid to good job so far....except Dennis Wideman. I don't think it'll be long before we see Kulak as the regular on that bottom pairing. Wides is just not an NHL regular anymore.
Good points, I agree with mostly everything you said. You could see this last game as well which was one reason why I would not fall in with all the doomsaying around here. There are kinks to iron out but the foundation is here for this team to have a really solid year.

Of course, we are playing the oilers, but still...

Know whats gonna grind my gears all year? The new SN Buzzwords, I've heard "Back scratching shot" too many times already. Wanna know I've never heard of in all my years of watching hockey? "Backscratching shot"

The best thing about having a real 1b or 2nd line is it allows our Backlund-Frolik-Bouma line to completely shut down the other teams top line. Aside from that awful breakaway and taking advantage of icings, the McDavid line has been completely hemmed in their own zone, exactly what you want.
