Dominating game from the Flames. I like it. I like it a lot.
Really like our prospect depth.

Very dominating and energetic performance. Was impressed with:
Tkachuk
Jankowski
Kylington
Mangiapane
4-1 and the score flattered the Jets

And let's be honest, we don't have that on the current Flames roster.
Ferland was briefly but has kind of faded since his big debut. Bennett has grit to his game but he doesn't go out of his way to get in guys faces.
If Tkachuk can play at an NHL level this season we could really use that guy who gets under opponents skin and takes them off their game.
Besides Ferland vs Vancouver the last time a player did that was Akim Aliu and it was surprisingly effective in the 2-3 games he played. If I recall correctly he pissed off the whole Anaheim Ducks team pretty much and threw off their big guys cause he had them fuming. We could use that again.

Stajan has been serviceable in his role for a while, but I'd take Jankowski over him at centre this season in a heartbeat.
That kid has a very polished and well rounded game. Not to mention the skill.

I'd love to see who could supplant just exactly what Brouwer and Stajan bring to the table at this very moment. Oh that's right. No one.

Tkachuk and Janko both with dominating performances. Both could have had a few goals a piece.

Jankowski could take a couple lessons from kids 10 inches shorter than him on how to be a little more assertive on the ice. Kid looks like a scared deer.

Looking "Around The League", Jets fans are already hating Tkachuk a lot.

For sure. Call it lucky or smart drafting but the Flames have done really well with their top picks. Brought in a nice mix of players with Mony, Bennett and Tkachuk. Solidify themselves up the middle while adding skill and nastiness on the wing. Much rather that than what the Oilers did with their top picks. Too much of the same, no balance.

Ankle is feeling better. That's why he was slow back in July.

How great would it be it Tkachuk ends up being like Perry.
Constantly under the opposition's skin, and putting up serious points.
