All those game 7 losses... while the Flames missed the playoffs pretty much every year. I'd take it.

That's what I think. Keep the assistants and the new coach can make that decision when the time comes

####ing Francis. What a clown.
First thing he asks after Treliving, quite emotionally, telling how the meeting between Bob and him was, is "Let's cut right to it, Bruce Boudreau is the obvious front runner for this job. What relationship do you have with him?"

Much corporate doublespeak. Processes, all-in, style, body of work, moving forward, etc.
Bob got fired, end of story.

Coles notes Trelving style!
- Firing Hartley was a process, and it wasn't an easy one.
- The process to find a new coach begins now.

Treliving's audible sigh was perfect. I could hear him roll his eyes at clownshoes Francis

I actually liked the question. The way he asked was a bit obnoxious, but it was something I wanted to know

Yep, someone had to ask it, and he's usually the one that does.

Ugh, Francis is such a fool. After Treliving repeatedly said no replacement coach is in mind, he asks Treliving if he's already spoken to Boudreau and what their relationship is. Stupid stupid stupid

But he'd made it clear earlier that this was not about who's available.

Don't mind that question by Francis.
Fans get on the media when they are too friendly with management, and now they get on them when they ask the tough question.

Except he had already answered that question twice previously by saying this wasn't done with anyone in mind. Whether or not that's the truth, was he going to say anything different simply because Francis used Boudreau's name? Also, his arrogance at believing he knows more than the people in question is tiring. There were some repeat questions, some dumb questions but Brad remained calm and courteous until Francis' question. You could tell he was irked.

Not sure I fully believe that though. Sure, I believe firing Hartley has nothing to do with who else is out there, but there's no way they don't have an idea of who they want. Treliving is just being respectful and doesn't want to make today about anything other than Hartley.
I do love that even Treliving seems to dislike Francis though
