The 'text' might end up being the longest impact debacle of this whole thing when it comes back to league vs. PA. It would be one thing if the text was actually relevant/substantive/added something to the case, but it was a pretty clear bush-league move that will probably rub a lot of players the wrong way. That would have been a better bullet kept in the chamber for the league.

the question still remains, what did the calgary flames buy with their $280,000.00?

shocked that we haven't heard anything on the matter yet, doesn't even seem like it's being considered. Tier 1 season ticket holder speaking here. what did i just buy?

A reporter brought it up during Burke's presser. His response was saying that they understand why it took so long. It is a new system, and the Flames and Wideman were the first through it. It needs to be streamlined, but they are understanding about it.

Something like that anyways. From it, I just inferred that the Flames will not be seeking any damages in any way.

So did anyone see this statement from the NBA refs today? The zebras are closing ranks, it's kind of cute.

I don't get it. I thought the ref was okay after Wideman hit him; now news reports say he recovering in hospital and going to miss the rest of the NHL season?? Is there some revisionist propaganda from the NHL circulating out there?
