Now let's hope the rest of our D core were taking notes and paying attention.

Your post sums it up perfectly, as Hamilton predictably struggled with a new team and new conference, and style of play that was completely new to him etc. Then over the past month he completely turned it around and started to look like the budding star D-man he's pegged to be, like MMF said, second only to Brodie on this team right now.
Except what you go with is basically to go with his struggles early on and extrapolate that unfairly to "we're twenty games in and he's been underwhelming" and then add in one bad gaffe and use it to solidify your assertion (see: narrative) that he's been bad all year.
Sorry man, no offense, but you could not have given a better example of building a narrative. Webster's could remove the actual definition of narrative and replace it with your narrative of Hamilton and non hockey fans from anywhere in the world could read it and be like "Ok, yeah, I see what he did, I get what a narrative is".
|
Ugh. Attack what I said with your own narrative about Hamilton, then accuse me of cognitive bias. Congratulations! You are not only a hypocrite but have defeated your own argument.
Rather than reading Webster's you should read Plato's Theatetus. It will teach you everything you need to know about the "everything is narrative" view of the world.

Unfortunate but true. To be honest though, not much from anyone else really. Ducks have been outworking the Flames since the Bennet goal!

What's killing the Flames this period is lack of possession. Get the puck, give it away....get the puck, give away,....rinse and repeat. Need to hold onto the puck for a bit, even if it means going back towards your own zone for a few seconds. They can't just make one or to passes then give it right back, the Ducks are all over that and using it for momentum.

The Flames just need to survive this period and regroup for the final stanza.

Wtf was that Russell? If you started skating a half second sooner instead of being lazy and puck-watching, that would've been a textbook clear. But nope. More D-zone time.

Just watch Brodie when he's out there, he's one of the best players I've ever seen. He's the best on our team imo, would trade anyone before him.

I don't mind if they lose with a good effort but the Ducks are just b$tch slapping them around this period. If it weren't for Ramo, it would be 6-2 by now. OMG, and there are five more minutes to go in this fire drill.

Wideman , Raymond, Bollig can't be off this team fast enough. Wish we Milbury was still the isle's gm, we could trade those three for Hamonic and isle first for next two seasons.
