Break that game wide open with the Royals on the ropes, for the light hitting 9th batter who has struggled all playoffs at the plate? As good a time as any for a pinch hitter. That was my argument at the time before Goins did his Andrus impression.
Sanchez with terrible pitches and now its 5.

ridiculous.
6 innings of one hit ball, no walks, is pretty "clutch".
and one poor inning started by a mistake he had nothing to do with erases all that?
quite the fan you are.

Kansas is simply a better team than Toronto. Toronto cannot play fundamental baseball. Unless they hit 4 home runs a game, they aren't winning.
When Kansas gets a guy in base they cash them in.

I disagree - when you are up like that you don't take out your best defensive infielder. Fundamentally that's the wrong move.

We agree to disagree. Jays needed some insurance and could've gone for the jugular right there with the way Price was going and that was a perfect time with the lineups lightest hitter. 4 or 5 nothing, and its a different bottom of the inning.

There's no room for some person that has contributed nothing even baseball related at all, to be posting garbage like he did.

With who? Smoak? We don't have a pinch hitter that is good enough to even think about that move. Even if we did, keeping Goins in the game is the right move. He's an absolute stud on defense, and we had a 3 run lead.
