Hillarious deflection and strawman. All I said was the Bombers were denied a chance to win (Note I didnt say they would) and you come back suggesting a dynasty was interrupted. How stupid.

But you seem to believe that the call against the Bombers was more egregious and game changing than other calls have been against other teams.

It wasn't.

Again, the Stamps and every other team in the league has had to endure bad calls. This one was no different as evidenced by the fact the club still had a shot at winning after the call.

I don't want this to turn into a battle of who can get the last word, but if you can't agree that a phantom penalty with 40 seconds left in the game that took a Bomber first down off the board, pushed the field goal to 50 yards instead of 45, and took away the Bombers chance of winning in regulation... you're really just being a homer.

Of course him and all Stamps fans realize that. It wouldve been a first down and a chance to move the ball closer to make it a under 40 yarder instead of 50.

What you don't realize is all teams get calls go against them, this just happened to clearly effect the outcome. Where other blown calls allow teams to come come back.

Just last week a nice Jeff Fuller catch (30 yards or so) was negated on an offensive pass interference against the Lions. The difference is the Stamps are a top team who don't let these things effect them. Your Bombers and CFL officiating simply sucks.

If the Bombers were already winning at that point, it would have been irrelevant, wouldn't it?

Can't thank this enough.

Bad reffing has been happening all season long and it has been making it difficult to watch CFL games, especially with hockey coming back and the Blue Jays being pretty good these last few months.

I can definitely relate to Resurrection's frustration over the blown call by the zebras and the league issuing an apology stating that a mistake was made. I know I'd be pretty choked if the same thing happened to the Stamps in the final minute.

That all said, a 50 yard FG is no gimme and even if Liram no way I'm gonna try to spell his last name makes it, the Stamps still had a little over 30 seconds to march into FG position and win the game. Maybe the Bombers should have gambled on 3rd and 5?

Also, to Super-Rye's post above, CFL officiating has been pretty bad this year and in my opinion, has been steadily getting worse over the last few years. Not sure what the solution is (more money and time spent on training officials), but the status quo is definitely not the answer.

Two big blows to the Calgary D. Joe Burnetts season is done with a broken ankle and ligament damage. Juwan Simpson out 4-6 weeks with a broken clavicle.

Too bad Jasper Simmons (and his agent) ran their collective mouths, he'd be getting plenty of playing time now.

Yup, Simmons would be in line to start right now in place of Simpson. Chance for Glen Love and Maleki Harris to show what they've learned. One can potentially steal the starting gig for next year since Simpson is getting up there.

For what it's worth, NFL reffing has been no better than the CFL guys so far.

Saskatchewan trades Randy Richards to Calgary for the rights of Aaron Picton. If I'm not mistaken wasn't Randy Richards the one clothesline Tim Brown earlier this season?

I believe you are correct sir.....strange acquisition from Huf here. The O Line is as stable/healthy as it has been all year I think (unless there is an injury no one is talking about) plus he is an import which would wreak havoc with the ratio if he was to play and the far greater need seemingly is on the other side of the ball with Burnett and Simpson out.

DB Brandon McDonald also have been practising with the Stampeders. McDonald played 2 games with Stamps last season and were released after. He then signed with Ottawa and played 7 games this season but released after his bad penalty against Toronto.

As for Jasper Simmons, yep he is definitely kicking himself right now. He doesn't have a team and could have play more with Stamps losing Simpsons to injury. He is probably telling his agent to f-off and he would have ignore his advice a few months ago. Never burn bridges with your old employer.

Henry Burris sets CFL record for completions in a game with 45 with 504 yds passing. Can't stand the guy, but good on him as he still has it at 40 yrs old.

I would not be upset if Ottawa manages to make it to the Grey Cup.

Imagine -- Calgary playing Ottawa in Winnipeg. We could call it the Jasper Simmons Bowl (lol)

So Toronto gets the Grey Cup in 2016 and Ottawa in 2017. I was thinking that Calgary's turn must be up again soon (last time was 2009). Obviously having the worse stadium in the league hurts, but I would think they should be a host in 2018 or 2019. Looking back I was surprised that the last time Hamilton hosted a Grey Cup was 1996. You would think with a new stadium they would be hosting in 2018 or 2019 as well.
