Wolf's play has earned a call up and depending on what the injury is and the term, I think Wolf should be the call first.
|
Wouldn't mind. He's earned it, tired of seeing Sven tear up the AHL, come here and do nothing, rinse and repeat. I want to see some new blood. That said, is Wolf going to be able to handle the minutes? Sure they'd get spread out, but seeing Bollig and Bouma with more and more minutes might not be that great either, from an offense perspective.
We could sure use the energy he'd bring though. And his name is Wolf, what's not to like

Sven on the left side is just what Monahan needs to get out of his slump.

They're both LW's. If Wolf can offwing it though I'm all for it. Wolf plays more rough and tough than Jones.

Raymond hasn't earned a chance to play in the top 6, why just automatically slot him in? I think he should be on the 3rd line and reward someone else.

Even though it is a 1-1 game it seems more like the Flames are down 2.

Leafs are already working on their third-straight shutout in California. Down 2-0 to the Sharks halfway through the first. The OOT isn't being kind to the Flames tonight.

Here is hoping they play like they are in the 3rd and are hungry.

He has been playing 2nd line minutes in Adirondack fairly consistently. I don't see why he wouldn't be playing 10 easy with the Flames.
I think perhaps I should stop calling him a "new school goon" as it's giving off the impression he can't play minutes or energy. He plays regular minutes, he's bounced between 1st and 3rd line in the AHL all year and he's definitely an energy player. He just happens to hit and punch really hard too.

I'm about ready to say put him on Addy's 3rd line. He hasn't been brutal, but I think he really just adds nothing at this point

More of a power forward then? I admit I don't know too much about him. I know he's not like a Bollig, but had him pegged as a Bouma type

Arizona are doing pretty fine at stopping 2/3 of them. So why wouldn't any other team ?

I think that would be fair.
He can carry the puck with good speed, he has the ability to make great passes and he does help set up plays. He uses his size to get into the zone and make himself space. He's also proven he can shoot and score.
