The release reminds me a lot of Joe Sakic.

I don't like the idea of a Flames team sans Jiri Hudler. Such a smart, skilled veteran player. Not to mention his mentorship of the young guys on the squad.

You're out of line. It is not a team specific thing.

Don't know about that. He's taking more shots this year, so maybe that's why you think that. His shooting percentage is about average is where it should be think he's just making a concerned effort to shot more this season.

That 4 on 4 shift was an absolute clinic by the Flames. First Byron steals the puck away from Thornton and sets up 2 or 3 good scoring chances, and then Brodie and Hudler just embarrass the Sharks.

Love it!

Good road game so far. Nice to see the Flames with the lead after 40. If they play like they usually do in the third, they should be fine.

He makes up for that half step with really snappy corner-cutting though...he often catches guys much faster by taking a better line at them than they do themselves. He seems to have a sixth sense as to where they're going and just goes there.

Didn't see the goal live. Just saw the replay, Hudler sure sniped that great pass by Brodie.

That goal is all Byron.

Dominated Thornton physically for a shift and shifted all momentum to the Flames, allowing Hudler and Brodie to take advantage of a tired Sharks group.

Am I alone in saying that I'm really enjoying the LACK of drama tonight, for once?

The guys came into tonight committed to playing a 200 foot game. It's nice to see.

Doug Wilson screwed over McLellan if he gets fired. He basically said they were going to redo the team, stripped Thornton of the captaincy and then basically returned the same team where Thornton has to lead their offense.
