Mavs-Rockets playing a crazy game but TSN has to have this game on 4 channels for whatever reason. What a waste. Raps somehow still in this despite playing pretty poorly.

Wow these playoffs suck. All but one series not 3-0 (Atlanta is up 2-0). Raps are dead.

Well, we made a bit of a run, but eventually our chucking went cold. Ross played about 30 minutes tonight and did absolutely nothing again. Such a soft team.

I've said it before and say it again, but A.Johnson, and Ross have to be the two first to go while they still have any value. Then you start at packaging DeRozan for a legit scorer. This team is exposed on talent now. Personally, I like guys like James Johnson and Patterson. This team is in neverending limbo and that's extremely frustrating as a fan. The organization has to be realistic and build through acquiring more talent, instead of just hard work.

How many players out there are more legitimate scorers then DeRozan?
I think Amir is a free agent after this season.

Whatever the Raps do they need more size and physicality. And I don't think all of Williams, Lowry and DeRozan can be there. Team reverted to the Gay days with too many guys needing to get their shot and not enough ball movement on offense, nevermind adding Grevis in there too. Coaching hire will be the biggest move obviously.

I think they need not just talent but smarts right now. I don't think there's a single player on the team you could label as a high-IQ basketball player. Maybe Amir, but his ankles make him so inconsistent that his smarts are unable to make up for it all the time. And I worry that Ujiri has too much of a thing for highly athletic, physical specimen, raw-tools guys, that he may overlook the importance of surrounding those guys with high-IQ guys that will get the most out of the other players around them.

The Raps overall actually hung in there with the Wizards in total rebounds tonight, but Patterson & Hansbrough were an utter embarrassment on the glass in this one. Amir had a big rebounding night, but he's usually not that good a rebounder for a 6'9 guy either.
Would be nice if the Raptors can get another big man that can better help out JV on the glass. I'd get rid of Amir & Hansbrough, and keep Patterson for his mid and long range shooting. I can count almost a million occasions where I've seen what should've been sure rebounds slip through or off the hands of all of Amir, Patterson & Hansbrough throughout the year.

Raptors are so frustrating to watch. These guys just never learn from their mistakes. Play selections are just bad. Vasquez, Ross always forces the play all the time and they are hot and cold. JV can be good but most of the time he is getting pushed around a lot. Toronto does not have a good backup centre for him. They cannot rely on Kyle Lowry and DeRozan all the time. When these two are off they have no chance.

So if there was any doubt before Casey is a goner now with this quit job. Pretty meek way to go out.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if Casey is still a H.C. by the middle of the week. I'm looking forward to seeing what direction Ujiri goes with this hire, it's the first HC hiring of his GM career.

This was a mess of a game. You can tell Casey was frustrated with his teams effort but they simply mailed it in. Again, I like Casey as a human being - seems like a genuinely good person, and so I hope they treat him with respect when he's let go (and they probably will). It's a shame the immaturity of the team didn't show up tonight. To me it speaks more about the player leadership more than anything. Rather than saying, "we're going to go out swinging", they just didn't care because they knew they were inevitably losing the series so why try? It's a slap in the face to the fans and shows that Lowry and DeRozan are too immature to be the go-to guys. Lowry is good enough to be apart of the future on the team, but if you're relying on the guy to be the man, you're a fairly weak team. Ujiri's going to have to get creative this off-season because going out like this was not just embarrassing, but pathetic, and showed the true colours of the leadership on the team.

Ill bet a buck that Casey doesn't get canned, not after getting extended last off season. They will give him at least one more year with new players added to the mix.

Lowry was basically a cripple from carrying this team on his back the past year and a half.
It shows how bad the team was when he is hurting. The big play like wusses, and DeRozan and Williams just cry every play they don't get a foul call.
The issue is they needed to play like the Suns and ignore D cause they weren't built for it. Instead they changed the style after their hot start to try and be better at D and the whole thing got messed up. Instead of doing 1 thing really well (Offense) and 1 terribly, they did 2 things below average for the last 40 games.
