I'll be returning my filler item when it arrives mainly out of principle. I'm out $6.50 from this ordeal.

The $25 coupon that they send out to "make this right" is BS. It only applies to orders over $25 before GST and shipping (so Mark's is trying to get even more of my money), it does not cover any GST or shipping, and is only good until December 20th (if I wanted another product from Mark's I probably would have purchased it at the time I did my last purchase on their site less than one week ago).

Looking like somehow these 'personalized' codes are being used up, only allowed as a single promotion and not stackable with anything else. Yikes.

As for the "abuse" of the codes. I really think they knew what they were doing by putting in codes that required a $50 purchase, and then pricing a clearance item at $49.99

I have also used multiple discounts in store. Shirts on sale, then their random 20% off evenings, then $10 off a $50 purchase. (Forcing me to buy 2 shirts instead of one.)

Total: 19.79

So raise a stink if they try to charge your shipping. I will keep an eye on my CC and make sure the numbers match.

Mark's seems to be very weird about their order detail emails they sent out.
My original email outlining my order showed:

Order Subtotal: $114.75
Order Discount: ($38.95)
GST: $3.80
Shipping: $6.50
Shipping Tax: $0.32
Order Total: $ 86.42

Four hours later I got a similar order breakdown "thanks for the order" email showing

Sub Total: 75.80
PST/QST: 0.00
GST/HST: 3.80
Total: 79.60

I assume I will be charged the $6.50 for shipping.

When I originally found out I wouldn't be receiving my jackets I emailed inquiring on the update of my shipping cost (assuming it would go down with fewer things ordered and less weight). I was told that all orders were $6.50 shipping. I complained a bit more and was told they will be sending me a $10 gift card that is good for in-store purchases.
Not really happy with my overall experience, but I guess they've done enough on their end to try and make it right..

Doesn't seem to work for me. When I go to stack them says coupon already applied and doesn't adjust the price.

So just a heads up for those folks who, like me, got shafted on the Coat Fiasco of 2013: I was charged $6.50 shipping on an $8 toque. Didn't come off my credit card bill.

Can I just return this in store and ask for shipping costs back? Anyone have any experience with this?
