I realize it's only High A ball, but yesterday Billy Hamilton in the Reds farm system stole his 92nd base of the season already. Finished last year with 104.

Giants have shut-out the Dodgers in three straight games. 4 weeks ago, the Giants were 7 1/2 games behind LA - now they are tied for first place. Lincecum finally had a quality start.

A year after awful beating, Giants-Dodgers rivalry has different feel

Really?

SF is 2nd in the NL, LA is 3rd, and AZ is 4 games back of LA.

The Dodgers have played above their heads all season. That is not a good baseball team, and I'm a Dodgers fan myself. SF is for real, that rotation is just scary good and if Lincecum can rebound (Finally a promising start, although against the Dodgers) they're my favorite to come out of the NL with with Stasburg looking like he's going to be held to that innings count this season. The Diamondbacks are a sub .500 team in most other divisions. Still a lot of promise on that team, but they exceeded expectations by miles last season.

The Dodgers are in for a pretty ugly little run here. Even with the return of Kemp, that is one of the worst lineups in MLB. The Giants are going to be in cruise control in a month.

First player to hit for the cycle twice in one season since Babe Herman did in 1931 with then the Brooklyn Robins, fourth to hit for it twice in one season.

Hey thought this would be the best spot to ask this question:

I'm heading down to Seattle next friday and want to go see the Mariners game. I know lots of people have gone down to see Seattle play before since it's the closest MLB team to Calgary, what sections of the stadium do you get your best bang for you buck? Looking for cheaper tickets that still give a good experience, don't really want to be stuck out in centre field or anything.

I'll be at the Sunday game. I found tickets on Stubhub behind the Mariners dugout (Sec. 123) for under $50. There were quite a few for less than that on the Rangers side.

Anything lower level would be a good experience. Everything about Safeco is great, even if the on field product is hit and miss. It's tough not to have a good time.

Nah, they're a flash in the pan.

The Mariners, on the other hand, are the model of consistency.

Fun Fact:

So Greinke started the game the day after he got ejected. He's also the probable starter for Milwaukee's first game after the break. The last pitcher to start 3 consecutive games was Red (real name: Urban) Faber of your 1917 Chicago White Sox, who started both games of a doubleheader and then again the next day.
