Wow I gave it a solid few hours last night and never made it to the countryside at all! How'd you guys get there so quick? Or did you just go for a drive?
Had no idea my tennis match would take so long.. even though I went for 1 set. I destroyed at tennis

Yeah first thing I did i drive out of the city. Just hop on a freeway. Just remember, you'll probably get lost and carried away. Only way I found my way back to civilization after I lost my car was to kill myself.

What a remarkable game. This is one of those pinnacle titles that comes out only every so often that ends up ultimately destroying your life and gobbling every waking moment for a short/medium-term period.
The effort that's been invested into portraying detail this time around is staggering. That was also the case with GTA IV, but it has been amped up here and is presented on an even huger scale, given the size of San Andreas' map. Literally everywhere you go in this massive world, something is going on, someone can be shot, something can be jumped/stolen/destroyed/explored/humped, etc.
Everything in the game is near flawless so far. Everything feels a lot more "substantial"- even the firing of weapons and the movement of your character, physics-wise. My favourite moment up until now is landing one of the planes near the top of Mt. Chilead, shouting at a couple of sightseers causing them to run off the mountain, nailing them with my pistol from a mile up as they run down the mountain, and subsequently escaping the cops as I hop back in the airplane and soar off the mountain amid police sirens (their response time in getting to the top of the game's largest mountain was impressive...).

Unlocked Trevor tonight, he is a lot of fun. Spend most of the night just driving, discovering stuff and causing mayhem. Shot some cows, birds, people, gas tanks etc. Died some pretty fun ways. Such a massive area to look around and have fun in.

I think you bought Blazin' Saddles: The Video Game and not GTA 5.

The driving is much better than GTA IV which is nice to see. My only real issue is the aiming cursor. In the training level it was red but start the main story and it's white and almost impossible to see even with brightness adjustments. Am I missing something obvious?

Caved and picked up the game, I didn't get too far last night. I just got Chops, but haven't seen the "complications" mission unlock yet. Was busy driving/running around doing random stuff.
Good by Saturday, I didn't want to do anything anyway.

You can change the aim style in Settings. Flip it over to "complex".
I've been playing on free aim, but some missions the sheer volume of enemies coming at you at once makes it nearly impossible that way (like the first Rampage mission with Trevor). I definitely had to put it back to classic target mode for that.
Never strayed from the city as Michael/Franklin, and just got to Trevor last night, so it was my first experience in the countryside. Wow. Pretty sure I could off-road all day

Didn't get to play much yesterday but I finally unlocked Mike. I love this multiple character stuff. I also played my first tennis match (1 set) and didn't drop a single game. I'm like Nadal out there. Golf on the other hand is going to take some getting used to cause I sucked. Still great that you can do these things and they're still actually pretty fun and enjoyable.
Oh and yes you can steal and fly the big planes. I stole an airliner last night on my first try. The SeaDoos are also a lot of fun on the ocean.

Yeah I switched to Complex and adjusted the brightness settings down but as an example the first shootout when you try to recover the motorcycle I could not see the cursor as there is a lot of white against white coloring. I had to turn free aim off as well and in fact for one of the guys had to move to the hard auto-aim. Note I have no issues in the firing range challenges with the pistol it's purely an outside in the sunlight thing.
I likely just need to play with the brightness some more. I may also just need to move closer to the TV as I'm far enough back that the text is a bit small.

Did it start locked? I didn't try playing golf or tennis until yesterday.
Actually what happend to me was when I turned on the game yesterday, it forced me to play the mission that unlocks Mike. When the game loaded Franklin was dressed differently and wasn't at his house which is where I saved the game. Once I finished the mission and switched back to Franklin he was back home and dressed the way he was when I saved him.

I find the text is super small. It's set up like a PC game. When I get email or text messages half the time I just call them back lol. Really making me curse my lack of 20/20 vision.
