Such a great guy. I wish Joffery Reynolds the best. A great player, philanthropist and all around person. I hope he finds a new gig soon. I think he'd be a solid mentor for a younger RB in the CFL. Great memories with JR. Good luck to him.

Small typo in your post but fixed it.

Great Stampeder. First ballot Hall of Fame!

Joffrey's professionalism will be missed for sure, but I do think it is the right decision. It is time to move on and spend some of that cap on pass rushers.

I hope Joffrey does well wherever he ends up, he has been one of my favorite athlete's for several years.

I've always been a Reynolds fan.

He came my highschool (along with some other Stampeders) when I was in grade 11 (I think) and he had just had a rough game, I believe he had a couple key fumbles or something like that. He was still awesome, a true professional.

Yeah when I met him was right after that playoff game vs Edmonton he had a few key fumbles. Still was really nice.

I've meet Reynolds a few times and he was incredibly friendly each time, even bought me a drink at 1410 once when I told him how big of a fan I was... Gonna miss him on the Stamps. Thanks for all the memories!

I really think he will catch on somewhere, he still can be a solid running back.

Best of luck with wherever you go/whatevery you do Reynolds!

He was a workhorse of a RB since his first season. Hard to believe Dunigan did something right and found this diamond in the rough from Houston.

8 seasons and out the 7 full seasons he either made the West Allstar or CFL Allster team 6 of the 7 years.

9213 Yds rushing another 2013 recieving with 61 combined TD's. Impressive numbers.

With that said at 33 Reynolds was slated to be a back up with the Stamps.
Hope he signs in the East.

JR wore the Red & White jersey well. Thanks for the great memories.

From the CFL to a Pro Bowl CB in one year.

Reynolds is/was one of my favorite Stamps player. He is a friend of my brother and I used to get Stampeder game ticket from him. When he found out I am a huge Stamps fan and he is one of my favorite in the team, he gave me a signed football after they won the Grey Cup in Montreal. The rest of the team signed it as well. I will definitely watching demolish the Eskimos defense. I hope he catch on with another team especially in the East. Good luck Joffrey!

Spinning off the Calgary 88's thread, this guy looks to have uploaded, in the past month or so, a whole bunch of old CFL/WLAF/USFL highlights going back to the late 70's, and then the expansion into the US. Forgot San Antonio were called the Texans.

Here's the page of the clips with the Stamps in them:

Based purely on memory, so not sure if true but....

In the early 90's, the World League of American Football, they had a handful of teams from North America that included the San Antonio Riders. It only lasted 1 or 2 years before it eventually became an all europe league.

Within a year or so, when San Antonio first got their CFL expansion team the initial thought was that they would wear similar colours and have the same name until they were quickly informed that "dude, they already have 2 teams called the riders, you cant be the third". So they changed it to Texans.

I think I may have been the only person in North America who actually enjoyed watching that league.

Kevin Glenn and the Stamps have restructured his contact to fit him better under the cap:

http://www.stampeders.com/news_blogs/news/?id=4745

“I’m pleased to be able to restructure Kevin’s contract so that it will be a better fit with our salary cap,” said Hufnagel. “By accommodating us in this way, Kevin has demonstrated that he is anxious to be a member of the Calgary Stampeders in 2012 and beyond. This restructured deal gives Kevin an opportunity to finish his career here in Calgary.”
