Help, save, whatever.

I don't mind my defence and my goaltending but my forwards suck. I'm interested to see what happens in the SIM. I think I might be able to squeak some wins out!

Completely different build from last year. I like it better, but that means absolutely nothing in the SIM. Did fairly well in UFA, fixing the weak LW side.
Jakob Silfverberg (72) - Anze Kopitar (75) - Vlad Tasasenko (72)
Evgenii Dadonov (70) - Christian Dvorak (72) - Cam Atkinson (73)
Jason Dickenson (69) - Matt Duchene (71) - Filip Zadina (68)
Eeli Tolvanen (69) - Boone Jenner (69) - Pierre Engvall (68)
Arttu Ruotsalainen (68), Isac Lundestrom (66)
Miro Heiskanen (73) - Eric Cernak (72)
Roman Josi (76) - Nic Hague (70)
Dante Fabbro (68) - Henri Jokiharju (68)
Radim Simek (67)
Jake Allen (84)
David Rittich (85)

Galchenyuk (69) - Grigorenko (68) - Kahun (68)

Larsson (69) - Lindholm (70)
Murray (68) - Dunn (68)
Demko (84)
Driedger (81)
I am not overly happy with my 4th line as it’s soft and not defensive at all but this is likely what the Devils are looking like going into the season. Excited about the all Fin 1st line. The defensive core has a good mix of puck moving and strong DF.
Goaltending is going to be a bit of a wild card. Hopefully I can catch some sim magic in that category.

Mackinnon 79 - Matthews 80 - Mangiapane 70
Mikheyev 71 - Horvat 73 - Armia 70
Coyle 70 - Tanev 72 - Motte 69
Lizotte 67 - Glendening 68 - Hathaway 68
Khaira 66
Makar 76 - Edmundson 71
Karlsson 72 - Hamonic 69
Russell 69 - Lauzon 68
Bortuzzo 67
Grubauer 89
Khudobin 85
I prioritized adding depth to the roster and was able to add several players through UFA (Karlsson, Hamonic, Russell, Coyle, Glendening, Hathaway and Bortuzzo). I wanted defensive players in the bottom half of the roster and for the most part I think the team has that depth. The sim is random and the West is very strong so who knows but I think the roster is capable of finishing between 6-10 in the Western Conference.

Improved depth with the forwards pushes both Tippet and Byram to the minors to start the year. Leivo, Sheary and Sheahan expected to swap into the lineup based on what is needed between offense (Sheary), defense (Sheahan) or a mix of both (Leivo).

Made a bunch of trades recently. We had one of our better starts to a season in a very long time, usually we need to scramble late to make the playoffs. But, trading is fun, that's why I play the game to see who will play well with who. I don't need to put all of my Teddy Blugar chips in one basket.
Will try and acquire a top line C next and see what that does.

Haven't posted one of these in a while, and there has been some pretty big changes. Sacrificed some big players on the D to bolster the forward core. Allen has been very hot and cold in net, after last year's heroics. Best top six LA has had during my tenure.
Matt Duchene (71) - Anze Kopitar (75) - Jakob Silfverberg (72)
Cam Atkinson (73) - Tyler Seguin (74) - Vlad Tarasenko (72)
Jason Dickenson (69) - Yanni Gourde (70) - Colin Blackwell (68)
Eeli Tolvanen (69) - Boone Jenner (69) - Pierre Engvall (68)
Arttu Ruotsalainen (68), Filip Zadina (68)
Miro Heiskanen (73) - Ryan McDonagh (73)
Eric Cernak (72)- Nic Hague (70)
Haydn Fleury (69) - Henri Jokiharju (68)
Radim Simek (67)
Jake Allen (81)
James Reimer (81)

Injured returning within a week
Brodie (71) Hall (74)
When Hall comes back Reinhart slots into the second line, pool party to the third line, Ryan to the fourth line and Sokolov to the farm.
Brodie slides in and probably poolman slides out and Coghlan goes to the farm.
I don't think this is a terrible team, but we haven had Hall play more then half a game, and Brodie makes a difference on the blueline.
I might need to look at the goaltending but Sideshow has been decent.

For now...
Panarin (78) - Backlund (71) - Eberle (71)
Foligno (69) - Cirelli (73) - Rakell (71)
Skinner (68) - Nyquist (68) - Sharangovich (70)
Larsson (67) - Cizikas (68) - Kassian (67)
Gaudreau (67)
Pelech (71) - MacDonald (67)
Nemeth (69) - Krug (70)
Roy (69) - Oleksiak (69)
Bortuzzo (67)
Talbot (84)
Francouz (77)
First line gets tons of shots on goal.
Second line is for matchups. For some reason Cirelli and Panarin weren't great together but they've been fantastic separately.
Third line I'm also hoping gets lots of shots.
Fourth line is pure shutdown.
