Brazil is already through so I would expect we won't see their strongest side in a game Chile desperately needs. No need to risk injuries. Another interesting aspect of this is Argentina, Chile and Peru all have the same goal differential of +1. So suffice to say things are tight going into the last two matches.

I follow Brazil and they never let up even when qualified throughout the years. They have also have never lost a home qualifier in their history, something they are very proud of. (Italy and Spain also have this distinction)

Panama leading 1-0 over T&T. If that holds they will leapfrog both USA and Honduras into 3rd. Panama play at the US next.

The Danes with a huge pair of victories, 4-1 over Armenia and 4-0 over Poland. Helps with points and goal differential. Should be a great set of games next month. For the Danes, it should come down to beating Montenegro.

Austria have sacked Marcel Koller today. I strongly disagree with this decision. Yes, they have underperformed in this qualifier, but if you actually watched the games you could see that they played pretty well for the most part. Koller has been a great coach - took us all the way from 72th to 10th in the FIFA rankings.
I feel this is a huge mistake. Hopefully I'm wrong.

has anyone followed the Mark Sampson/FA stuff? Unbelievable really.
I feel nothing sums up the FA better than the fact that they've had a report about Sampson since 2015 and didn't bother to look at it for two years. Can't make that stuff up.

I lightly read it when the accusations from Aluko came to light. I found it odd, that she went quiet, and was apparently paid off,.. really that was the last I heard about it.
Now the FA is in a world of hurt. What a mess they are.

one of the WC 2018 stadiums didn't have sufficient capacity, so they got ... uhm ... "creative".

Who the hell is Marvin Plattenhardt?
Looks like Germany is taking Northern Ireland rather seriously.

I mean, I shouldn't be surprised. Jesse Lingard and Harry Winks have one PL start among them this season and have made the squad, and Fabian Delph would have been included as well if not for an injury.
it's ridiculous. If you're an Englishman at a top 5 club in England, you don't have to earn your caps.

Which is probably where they need to start to fix their problems.
Slovenia arent a powerhouse or anything, but they're not completely terrible either.

Syria drew Australia 1-1 in the first leg of their playoff. Advantage Australia but knowing their history in playoffs, the home leg on Tuesday will be very dicey.

Winks is good, and he might be on the squad, but not starting. To me Joe Hart being there is the more inexplicable decision. What has he done to get a place?
