Whether this trade works for LA will play out over two weeks. The first is coming up quickly, as Berggren is buried a bit in Detroit and could be a trade piece to another team where he can flourish. The second is training camp where Brabanec could be a surprise piece in Las Vegas, as he's the kind of #### disturbing player that tends to stick unexpectedly. Or, they both disappear to Europe forever.
Knut showed up with a couple of future wildcards, and that's exactly what I asked for. Iafallo and Gio are winners, so good luck to the Jackets on their Cup run.

Trade with Philly
To Philly:
Jeff carter and Viktor Arvidsson, whose jerseys will be retired for their long tenure. Carter didn't want to come, and Arvidsson didn't want to play in Canada
Bobby Trivigno (AHL bum)
cheese
To Ottawa:
Kasperi Kapanen
Sean Tschigerl
Peter Repcik
A conditional 3rd if Arvidsson re-signs in Philly.
Jon Duke made the proposal and we hashed it out quickly.

We wanted some vet help for the playoffs.
The gamble here is that Jeff Carter does indeed retire. If not, his contract sucks for us next year. Arvidsson could very well have next to no rating next year, depending on what ratings package we choose, but will add a nice scoring touch for the remainder of this year.
Ive had Kapanen for quite some time. He's having his worst year but could be a great rebound candidate.
Ped was very fun to trade with. Great reasoning and explanations instead of a yes or no. Reminded me of 3Thirty who was always a treat to deal with as well.
Anyway, thanks for the chats Ped!

Our earlier trade made Oshie expendable. This was an easy one and done message with Quigz17, who is also in need of a shake up.

In a trade that was borne out of cambam messaging the wrong GM, we still managed a very quick deal.
To Ottawa:
Connor Garland
To Boston:
Tomas Tatar.
Quickest trade talks I've ever had.

NYI acquire Rust from Buffalo for Ty Nelson and Bobby McMann.
McMann might go into the books as having the shortest tenure of any player I've ever signed.
