Meanwhile both Rublev and Ruud are in battles.

Felix takes the opening set in a tie-break over BZM - Also, Botic van de Zandschulp is up two sets to one on Casper Ruud.

Oof... that's depressing, you get 3 break points and the other guy wins 5 straight points to save all of them and end the game. Kind of erases the momentum from the tiebreak. Zapata has played very well so far.

I don't think it's in his repertoire, but BZM is standing so far back on the FAA serve that he could throw in an underhand serve and it would likely be an ace.

So much for that struggle. Rublev takes the last two sets 1 and 1

I was thinking he needs to kick some more out wide but this is a good idea too.

It appears that Zapata has hit the wall - Felix needs to keep his foot on the gas and crush him lol

Nice - Felix two sets to the good and gets to start set 3 on his serve. Take care of business Felix.

Does intentionally (uh, yeah, intentionally, that's what happened) losing your own serve so you can close out the set by breaking the other guy and start the third (and no doubt final) set on your own serve count as "crushing him"?
Yes. Yes, I think it does.

Coco is still 17 until next March, but Leylah is 19 in 5 days? How does it feel like the younger one has been on tour for years while the other is still brand new on the scene?

You have to like the power that Coco brings, but I'll take the consistency of Leylah's ground strokes and variety to her game all day long and twice on Sundays.
To answer your question Jack, Coco was making news at the ripe old age of 15 while Leylah has flown under the radar.
