They for sure should trade Jansen, take the best offer and move forward.
I would think teams are willing to trade for catchers.
TSN posted a story last week that the cub's might have interest
One of the playoff contenders will have a injury, need more depth etc.
The problem with trading Jansen is who plays catcher for the Jays next year?
They're going for a retool and Kirk isn't an every day guy at the best of times. The assets you get back for a guy like Jansen aren't worth getting rid of a heck of a teammate, a good catcher, and likely someone who wont break the bank.
Feels that way. But it doesn't make sense to me personally. Unless the Jays are going scorched earth they'll need someone to field that position so why not sign the guy. I bet something like 3 years 25 million gets the job done.

It's interesting how the director of the SNet feed is showing a lot less of the bench and of Schneider. It used to be regular occurrence to see the quick shot into to the dugout and of the manager. Now it Joe Siddal football stories filling time.
Feel bad for the starters on this team. They are defeated.
Classic Rays stomping of the Jays. I wonder if they realize that every playoff team, every successful moment they have every had, is because of their complete and utter dominance of the Jays. Going 16-3 every year against one team sure goes a long way.
The bottom of the 7th was the most incredible Rays inning I've ever seen. All those balls are likely basehits when not facing the most perfectly positioned team of all time.
