While I hope Ross cleans house, again, it might not happen until the NFL investigation report comes out. Those findings may just add enough fuel to the fire and force Ross' hand. Ross' biggest flaw in everything so far is his loyalty to Ireland.

Ireland deserves much of the blame but Philbin and the coaching staff deserve just as much as Ireland. Philbin was consistently out-coached, even by guys who have already been fired. Time for another change, the issue is, who is out there that legitimately moves them into the top 6 in the AFC? They are not that far away.

Dick Jauron was interm coach and then coached the Buffalo Bills.

George Wilson in 1966 was the last coach to get another job but that was a job in AFL. Not sure when/if a coach has got a job in the NFL prior to that.

Bobby Ross coached in college and of course some guys went back to being co-ordinators but no other NFL jobs and can't see Marinelli or Mornigweg getting another job, Schwartz should struggle to get a co-ordinator position and Mooch is probably done as well.

Suicide watch time (does it ever end I guess?) Browns fans. Apparently they really want to interview Josh McDaniels. I mean holy crap I'd stop being a fan if they did that.

That would be amazing in the "God really hates Cleveland" sense.

oooooooh

Manning may not have the yardage record.

Quote:
With 1:28 left in the first quarter of the game, Manning threw what was called a seven-yard pass to receiver Eric Decker on 1st-and-5 from the Oakland 49-yard line. However, in the video below (H/T to SportsGrid via Reddit NFL), it’s clear that Manning threw the ball backward, which makes it a lateral. With that in mind, Decker should technically be credited with a seven-yard run.

Lol, does it matter? Doubt Peyton even cares, the backup came in for number for snaps. Good for statisticians to let him keep it. Outstanding year but he did screw me over in my Fantasy in week 14.

Browns tie for the most All-Pro selections, with 5:

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/inde...y_best_al.html

The franchise placed five players on the Associated Press All Pro team, released Friday. The sum tied for the most in the NFL with San Francisco and Kansas City and marked the Browns best showing since 1953.

Wide receiver Josh Gordon and left tackle Joe Thomas led the Browns, earning first-team honors, while center Alex Mack, safety T.J. Ward and cornerback Joe Haden were voted onto the second team by a national panel of 50 media members. It’s quite a haul for a club that finished 4-12, lost its last seven games and fired first-year coach Rob Chudzinski.

During a news conference to announce Chudzinski’s dismissal, Browns CEO Joe Banner mentioned the individual talent the team is assembling as a drawing card for coaching candidates.
