How the hell was that not PI on the guy covering Moore in the endzone?? He didn't even get his head around!! Hochuli's really grinding my gears tonight, the 2nd hit to Ryan's head penalty that eventually led to a TD was pretty ticky tacky too.
This game's got me so wound up. The odds of finding my cat tonight isn't promising.

Meanwhile everytime our defenders make a nice defensive play the Falcon reciever gets up and whines and we get called. Big turnover there though for us! Suck it zebras!!!

Well Brees threw a couple bad INT's there, but than leads them down the field for the winning TD. He's had a bad year by his standards, but still finds a way to score the key TD when his team needs it.
To me thats the difference between him and Pip Rivers....Pippy puts up stats but can't win an important game. Brees puts up the numbers but also can win these big games. Brees is a winner...Rivers isn't.

big win there for the boys, clinching a playoff spot. Too bad Atlanta plays Carolina next week, pretty much guarantees the Saints will be a wildcard.

What. A. Game. What a 4th quarter actually, could there have been any more swings of momentum? That was a roller coaster of emotions. Love Brees coming back after a couple bone-headed plays, winners finish.
Saints need to get Ivory healthy, we look way too much like the 2008 all passing Saints for my liking. But we've got great momentum heading into the dance, and getting healthy at the right time. Can't believe we're either going to be the #1 seed or the #5 seed, stupid playoff format for division winners. C'mon Carolina, win one for your boy!
Now to watch the Flames game on PVR. I heart sports.

Clutch, clutch, clutch drive by Brees when he easily could have let the int's get to him. Massive game by the Saints defence, gave up only 7 points, and completely erased Turner. Pierre Thomas is one tough player, bring on the playoffs!

I'm hoping they rest Ivory until the playoffs, they can beat Tampa without him.

Agreed. Like what they did with Reggie last year, and it made a difference.

They are lucky that other bottom feeders are winning as well but if the Lions miss out on Peterson or Amukamara because of these meaningless wins it will be another stupid move in a long line of stupid moves by this franchise.
Can't believe that after all those years of losing these guys decide now they will attempt to win.

Sorry for bringing up a 2-page old quote, but are you f'in serious moon????
Why on earth do you even cheer for a team if you wish them to lose?
The Lions are finally showing signs of life and you're disappointed? They are learning how to win and you're criticizing them for it?
For a franchise to turn the corner and become a winner they usually start by finishing out a losing season strongly. I'm hoping and praying that's what we're seeing here. The Lions have plenty of talent at most positions.. now it's a matter of putting it all together and frankly, I'm thrilled with what Shwartz has done wtih them so far.
You can still get a really good player in the middle of the draft. You can always draft another Roy Williams, Mike Williams, Charles Rogers, Joey Harrington, etc... with a top-5 pick.
Let them learn how to win and build some groundwork for next year. For once I'm actually excited about the Lions' future.
Of course that win might have been just as much about Chad Henne sucking as it was about the Lions' coming of age.

As I said if it had been Stafford leading the team then yes I would have been happy with the team winning but I am not going to get excited about mediocre wins against teams that don't care with Shaun Hill leading the way.
I cheer for them to lose when they are out of the play-offs and, to me, the win doesn't add much to the team going forward.
Of course you can draft duds at the top of the draft but more often than not they end up working out.
The team has a desperate need at CB and the concensus is that there are two guys who can fill that need. I personally feel that getting Peterson or Akamura will be better for the Lions future than a win in late December with Shaun Hill at QB against a Miami team that would have been happier sitting at home watching football than playing it.
