Moved from the movie review thread.

Adapting, albeit loosely, the universally hated One More Day storyline and including a multiverse plot with Raimi trilogy characters?

At this point Marvel has truly embraced the hold my beer meme.

At least they didn't attempt the Clone Saga.

Marvel has done pretty well with borrowing from storylines while tossing the bad parts away. I have trust.

I do find it suspect that Strange would even undertake Peter's request. Some speculation that maybe it's not the real Strange.

The animated series from the 90s had a great Clone Saga, this #### hit hard as a kid.

Well I guess I need to watch the 4 non-MCU Spider-Man films with my wife before we go see this, she has no idea who any of those characters are

Maybe another multiverse version of him is in the "prime" universe as a consequence of something we haven't seen yet? Multiverse of Madness is coming up.

I love the Clone Saga

But that would require so much depth and detail, I feel movies wouldn't do it justice. Leave it in the comics.

I still read those ones in my TPBs I bought for that saga. The OG comics live sealed in the comic boxes downstairs. Lol

I enjoy the comic as well. I just find clone storylines in movies and TV to be lazy and are usually done for cost-cutting purposes. They get to save money on actors and use camera tricks and stand-ins to fill the gaps.

I think there’s 5 - three from the Toby Maguire era, and two Andrew Garfield.

I haven't been excited about a Spiderman movie since like 2003, but I am for this one!

Into the Spider-verse ended up being my favourite comic movie, well, ever. And while I don't recall the marketing leading up to it, I probably thought "this looks dumb"

I'm actually more exited for this after seeing the trailer in good quality. Upon further reflection, I couldn't sit through another Green Goblins origin story. The Sinister six are?

Vulture
Sandman
Green Goblin
Doctor Octopus
Electro
Scorpion?
Mysterio?
