On the bad but not surprising news front, apparently Meryweather "felt something" while ramping up activities, so he's further away than expected.
Sheesh. If he ever makes it back I suspect he will just get injured again right away. Probably best just to file him away with Yates and Phelps, and if he somehow gets healthy it'll just be free money.

Looks better on paper I guess. Hopefully it yields better results and hopefully JMW does get healthy and bumps one of the bottom guys off, like Dolis.
I'm hoping they can somehow deal a catcher for a strong high leverage reliever with control.
Maybe they can get Kimbrel. He's back to his old self and the Cubs are falling out of the race.

Actually, I just looked at Kimbrels stats.
Holy #### go and get him Atkins. I thought he was having a good year, but hes absolutely dominating. He'd be a huge addition.

Ohtani is ridiculous.
I feel bad since any other season and Vladdy Jr could win MVP, but I'm not sure anybody gets close to what Ohtani is doing this year.

Yeah Vladdy could win the Triple Crown this season and not win MVP. Not sure that's ever happened before. And it would be completely understandable given how amazing Ohtani has been.

I like Biggio and Grichuk being swapped in the batting order. Grichuk should be 6th behind Teoscar.

Phew. Right call was made in the end. Still blows my mind that the umps didn't see that he dropped the ball. And it wasn't even close.

I like simple Pat. I really do. But I feel he's in the sauce when calling games at home. He rambles a lot more than he used to. He used to just throw out cliches, dad jokes, and stories from the glory days. Now he kinda gets wrapped up in long thoughts that he can't really get out of lol.

Ha. That was savage watching the umps check Harvey after he gets pulled from the game.

Nice debut from Richards. You see he can really spot his fastball. Nice for a change. 9-1 lead and he's going after hitters, not walking them like a doosh

####, I had to run out quick and missed Richards debut.
Sounds like he did pretty well?

Yeah. Threw mostly fastballs, all over the strike zone. Some change ups mixed in. Got two lazy flyballs and a strike out.
