Even on Roe v. Wade, he's against the vast majority of what Americans want. The vast majority do not want it completely overturned.
I'm sure he doesn't actually care one way or another, and he's probably happy he was able to pay for an abortion or two.
Someone filled him in that the only reason that people are still supporting him is that he's going to get them some conservative SC judges, so he's going all in on that movement now.
But the stakes are high in this election, excessively high. I cannot in good conscience throw my vote away and give power to Trump--and more importantly Pence and the Republican party, whose platform is intensely offensive from top to bottom. Trump is a blowhard idiot who doesn't actually know what he's speaking about, but Pence is not. Pence is on par with Cheney in terms of dangers, perhaps not in terms of putting us into another unwinnable war, but certainly with the rights of myself and the people I know (women, people of color, people in the LGBT community) being put at risk.
The GOP longs for the days of the 1950s, and we cannot go back to those days. A throwaway vote prevents that. Hillary is far from perfect, but at least it's not regressing 60 years of history. Trump--and Pence especially--would ensure that the SCOTUS is full of judges that would push us back to those values, limiting the rights of women, of gay people, of trans people, etc. The SCOTUS judges chosen by the next president will shape policy in this country for the next 20+ years. The values of the GOP are appalling to me, and far beyond Trump, I will do anything in my power to keep those people from controlling the future of the country I live in.
Exactly. I've had people try to talk to me about this and that but it boils down o one initial thing that is of paramount importance. If you belong to a party that has as its platform the thought that not everyone's is equal and that it matters what someone does or is in their personal life (provided nothing illegal of course) then there is no point talking further. If you can't get on board with equality the laws you pass aren't going to promote it. That's a problem and you lose my vote (if I could vote. I can't and instead get to nervously wait for people to hopefully do the right thing).
Trump said that the Mosul operation was launched to make Clinton look good? I missed that part!!!
Yeah the tens of thousands of Iraqis and Kurds all want Clinton to win. Right.
I thought the stupidest thing he'd said about Mosul was about the element of surprise. Yeah, you can totally sneak an army of tens of thousands up on an entire city.
He lives in a cartoon world.
The more I think about what he actually said in the debate that wasn't about Clinton the worse it gets.

Yup, "what do I have to say to get what I want".

That was ugly in so many ways, and Brazile came away looking like a fool. Dodging questions is one thing. Drunkenly stumbling away from questions is another.
It seems like it would be in the best interest of the anti-Trump media and the Hillary campaign to rest their case on the Trump is a horrible person narrative. Anyone who would possible be persuaded by it, has been persuaded by now, and everything else is just piling on and will lead to a backlash.
The next few weeks should be about promoting the positives about her and her platform to ensure that people actually get out and vote for her.

To me this is a bad strategy. Unlike every election previously the person getting the media coverage drops in the polls. Keeping it about Him assures victory.

at some point it will backlash. Trump will ramp up the corruption momentum

A backlash from who exactly? Are people going to want to vote for him more because of all those unfair mean lying women? Like they weren't going to vote for him already? He denies everything, says he respects women. He's clearly lying and women want to call him on it. This isn't Hillary's strategy. It's victims of an entitled scumbag coming forward to deliver some payback. More power to them.

I think if we get to thirty or forty women all repeating the same narrative of being sexually assaulted by Trump I doubt it will be seen as piling on, it will be seen as countless other sexual assaults, he's a pervert and the once the first victim comes forward many more gather the courage to come forward themselves.

I'm running under the assumption that the women are coming forward in their own time for their own reasons, not being orchestrated by the media and Clinton campaign like Trump accuses.
So the effect of the timing might be positive or negative, but the best interests of the campaigns isn't important in this case.

Of course it's great that women come forward but nfotiu's point is that the anti-Trump media and Hillary campaign shouldn't beat it to death or 'rub Trumps nose in it' . Otherwise that becomes the narrative. Let the women coming forward be the news.
