The plan, if my brother is off he picks me up. Easy peasy.
If he has to work (they're switching him to lunch service) then I'll store the bike for the $15 and bus it downtown. Then after he gets off work pick it up.
Unless someone has a better idea that seems reasonable.

To get the bike checked, you'll have to put the bike either into a shipping box or a bike bag - so the wheels and pedals off and the handlebars twisted sideways. You can bring some basic tools (wrenches) and put it back together yourself and bike downtown from the airport?
The bike won't fit on a bus rack unless it's reassembled. But if it's assembled it can go on the rack - if the airport buses have them. The "local" airport bus (err 430?) might have one - the one that goes to Westwinds station might have one - you can ask Calgary transit, they might be able to tell you if a route will have it or not.
This is an fyi to everyone travelling with bikes - it's a pain in the arse to disassemble and reassemble but the only way the airline will accept it. Plus you need a box - so if you're stuck, ask at a bike store or even Canadian Tire to see if they have extras they're about to get rid of.h
Well all love airplane bathrooms. What does Boeing think of them? That they're too big.
Quote:
In an attempt to boost the sales of its double aisle 777 commercial aircraft, Boeing recently announced that it was looking to increase the seating capacity by reducing the size of the lavatories. Company officials said that they would be able to add up to 14 extra seats in the aircraft, giving airlines room to improve their unit passenger margins.
May 21, 2015 - United Airlines wanted to do something special to recognize women throughout the company. So they decided to bring an all-women crew to Seattle to pick up the new plane and fly it back to Chicago with female employees from United as passengers. No males on board.
Didn't see it personally but someone mentioned it to me in passing this morning. Really easy to tell them apart.
Cyycphotography (instagram) had a shot of a C-5 from today but may have been another time I suppose. Photo is also at high altitude so could have just passed over.
Yup, if it was high altitude it was passing over. Someone on the YYC Spotters Page on facebook had a pic or video of a C-5 just a couple of days ago overflying us.
Check out at the 0:48 mark as they nose over and both ailerons are deflecting up. Read online that it is an automatic input from the flight computer to reduce wing loading.
