I don't need much of an excuse to watch a show featuring Rebecca Ferguson.

Highlight of the season for me was this number that combines plotlines and characters from Little Orphan Annie and Sweeney Todd, with a solution to their mutual dilemmas that Jonathan Swift would approve of.

How long until we inevitably need a Wool / Spoilers thread for book readers?

Are you having a good day? Watch an episode of 'Silo' and it'll cure that.
Holy hell...this is a great show but seriously...this is dark stuff even for me.
I've only watched Episode 1 but this is a heavy show.

Yes, inject the darkness into my veins....
I just started watching "Alice in Borderland" and after 3 episdoes I'm a fan. If you liked Squid Games, it's in that genre.

How is Silo darker than any number of shows?

Mr Inbetween is so good.
Does anyone need to watch with subtitles? I can barely understand some of the accents and I used to live in Sydney.

It is great.
I just want to drop someone from that area of Australia into Newfoundland and just bask in them trying to communicate with each other.

I am with you. I am liking it so far, and it's not Mr. Rogers for sure. But IMO it's not some heavy, depressing material that is outside the spectrum of typical TV dramas.
I would hope nobody stays away from it for this reason.

Just binged The Diplomat (Netflix) with Keri Russel as star and also one of the Exec Producers. Very West Wing-like in style. No surprise as the show-runner worked on that a couple decades back.
Tight, interesting characters, political. Not super-realistic in lots of ways, but fun nonetheless. Not violent at all - plenty of intrigue and her husband, Hal, is as annoying as they come! 8 one-hour episodes.
There WILL be a Season 2 (just announced).

Yeah, this was a great, tight show. The secondary characters are all so well-done. I thought Trowbridge in particular was perfect for his role. Regarding the ending and season 2:

Easily in my Top 5 of best TV series ever. In any genre/category. Yes, I turn on subtitles (but I do that with everything).
I want to post some clips to get more people to watch but every clip I find is too good and borders on spoilering some of its best moments.
