The players are frustrated cause of all the little fouls he's called and not called others. Players like Inestra being frustrated at the ref usually means the refs is inconsistant.
There are challenges the ball had gone 10 meters away and he brings it back for nothing. Very annoying.
I thought he was decent in the first half but he's been too involved in the 2nd.

I'm getting very good quality from CBC right now. It started at abysmal levels, but now it's quite nice.

so this is the sport that 700 million find so enthralling? i tried to watch a bit of this game here and there since it's the gold medal and all, but watching a Minnesota Wild vs. Columbus Blue Jackets game would be more exciting

It hasn't been a good game by any stretch, but extra time has been pretty exciting. Try watching it right now because it's gotten better.

There you go. If Robben had fallen like Iniesta just did back in the 2nd half, Pujols would have been sent off.

He sure looked offside to me.
The next time I hear someone complain about hockey refs I'll have them take a look at the body of work of these refs during this world cup.

Seems like if you're in the box before the ball, it's offside. Is that right?

Soccer needs technology or linesmen instead of 3 guys who are supposed to watch 64x100m of pitch

Frustrating that the Spanish goal came only moments after an absolutely brutal call where the referee gave the ball to Spain when it obviously should have been a dutch corner. I didn't think the goal was offside, but if the right call had been made on the previous play, that goal probably doesn't happen.
