The Toronto Argonauts have agreed to terms with defensive end Folarin Orimolade, per sources.
The 27-year-old pass rusher had a breakout season with the Calgary Stampeders in 2022, amassing 37 defensive tackles, six sacks, one forced fumble and a pick-six in 17 regular season games. Orimolade had his best performance of the year in the West Semi-Final against the B.C. Lions, tallying six tackles, two sacks and one forced fumble in the loss.

With Fajardo headed to the Als, curious to see what happens with Dane Evans. Potential backup to Maier?

When Dane Evans is on, he's very good. The problem is you just don't know which Dane Evans will show up.

It's bad enough that the Stamps are staying on the sidelines in free agency yet again, but they're not re-signing their own guys anymore either. As it stands right now, this Stamps team has taken a significant step back and could be in tough to even make the playoffs.

Is it any wonder why attendance continues to slide when the team is in a perpetual rebuild? You can already see that they don't have the talent to stack up against the Bombers again and if you aren't trying to be better than the best team in the conference then you aren't trying to win a Grey Cup IMO.

He has a live arm and I do think he's got higher upside than Maier. Under the right coaching I think he can be a franchise QB in the league.

You give Huff and crew the benefit of the doubt but last 3 seasons have shown that we are a step behind. One way to address that is CFL free agency, lets add some players. Right now there's glaring holes at the DL, LB, secondary, and Receiver spots.

We habe even spoiled with success but it's starting to get frustrating when we have a no free agency policy when we lose good players. No other teams are following the cap so why should we?
Lewis would have been nice but 300k a year is a bit much.

I don't mean this to sound heartless, but it is time to move on from Kamar Jorden. He was a very good player for the Stamps, but just like a goal scorer losing his hands in hockey, Jorden just drops too many balls thrown his way.

It's a no-brainer to move on from Jorden. He was terrible last season. He's been through a lot and seems like a good guy so maybe they could find a coaching position or something in the future as I don't see him sticking with another team.

Has there been any news on the Atlantic Schooners being realized, and the CFL finally getting a 10th team? Seems like it's been talked about forever.

This is going to be one of the worst Stampeders teams in recent memory.

There are still some very good players out there in free agency and Huff and company are well known at finding hidden gems. As of right now though, I see the Bombers and Lions as 1-2 in the division with the Stamps battling it out with the Elks and Riders for 3rd place.

He never was the same player since getting injured in 2018. It's such an unfortuate thing to have happened to him, as he was putting up historic numbers and on track to have one of the most impressive seasons by a receiver in league history. The injury put an abrupt end to all that.

Lose Thurman, but bring back Sankey?!?
Starting middle linebacker Darnell Sankey is unlikely to be back with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2023.
According to team sources, the pending free agent turned down a contract offer worth approximately $160,000 which would have made him the second highest-paid American linebacker in the CFL

Well, that's one less team in the Sankey sweepstakes I reckon...
The Montreal Alouettes have signed American linebacker Avery Williams, per sources. He was released by the Ottawa Redblacks on Saturday.
The 28-year-old played 59 career games over four seasons with Ottawa, recording 293 defensive tackles, six sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one touchdown. He was named an East Division all-star in 2021.

^ BC traded Jordan Williams to Argos so would not be surprised to see him land in BC.
