Trees can explode during forest fires. Also, I don't think it's crazy to suggest that one of the factors involved in the fires becoming extreme is the accumulation of fuel in the forests, nor is the idea of cutting firebreaks into the forests that wacky.
Trump is a jackass, but jumping on him talking about exploding trees when that actually happens is also being a jackass.
Well I worked in the forestry industry for 10+ years and don’t recall trees exploding, even during forest fires, but maybe I was just unlucky or in the wrong part of the world.
Accumulation of fuels on forest floors is natural, unless you rake it like Trump wants or burn it off which potentially be disastrous you can’t do a lot in a state as large as California.
And having fire breaks 50 yards wide like he said is pretty much useless unless the trees are tiny. If the trees are decent size at all with a little wind you could get spot fires miles away.
Of course one of the biggest issues in all of this is climate change, but he doesn’t want to talk about that

It seems to me that Trump couldn't find the word he was looking for and came up with "explode". I never thought he meant that trees would literally explode. This is his style of speaking.
It's one of the reasons that some people complain about Trump Derangement System: he does and says some really stupid, horrible and occasionally dangerous things but he gets equal attention for the little gaffes and slip-ups that everyone experiences. It plays into his hands because with all of the noise around Trump some of the truly terrible things get drowned out by the shear quantity of the slightly silly.

Why wouldn't someone want this? The current debate format is trash and based on the limitations of old technology. This would expose both candidates to a high degree, there's no sound bites or timers or pre scripted responses to hide behind. I've listened to Joe moderate and he's good at it, it's not like he's going to bring one of his buddies on to ask them about DMT and gorilla sex.

Joe Rogan is a pretty good host, but I think his style would work more for Trump than Biden.
He asks a lot of easy questions and doesn't really challenge people, which would make Trump look smarter than he is. He pretty much gives a person saying dumb #### the same credence that he would for anyone. It works for entertainment value, but I could see it backfiring on Biden.

He's the Danielle Smith of podcasts.

Flashback to 2004 and imagine thinking the host of the Apprentice is President, facing a possible debate moderated by the host of Fear Factor in the year 2020. God Bless America...

I'd be perfectly happy if they could find a way to do this without Rogan, the format is what's really of value here.
An interesting note is that Biden asked to be on the podcast months ago (during the democratic nominee process) and Rogan said no. It's a bad look to back away now.

They should both be game and see who blinks first. I think in-depth analysis of issues might actually benefit Biden. Trump isn't going to be able to bull#### his way through 4 hours of dialogue and a deep dive on policy.

I wouldn't be so sure that Joe won't bring up DMT At the very least though, we know we can expect him to ask Jamie to pull up something in real time to show the guests which could be quite entertaining to watch Trump's reaction.

Trump would just keep interrupting with inane bull#### and not let Biden go in-depth on anything, and Rogan would let him

I like the idea. Would rather have someone else moderate. Would Chris Wallace be ok? He’s Fox News and all, but I think he still has a bit of a spine and would call out Trump.
The bar is so low for Trump, that any debate is pretty much a no-win situation for Biden. He still needs to do them, but I don't see much value to either side, frankly.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

They should do a series of podcasts in this format, with different topics and moderators that are experts in those fields. I think exposing them to a variety of moderators with different biases would provide a the best overall assessment of each candidate.
Well if America wasn't a big enough laughing stock, now we have this ####show. As someone else mentioned, the Fear Factor host moderating a debate between The Apprentice host and a former Vice President and someone who served our country for 50 years. What could possibly go wrong with this? Can't see either side agreeing to this publicity stunt by one of the purveyors of intellectual dark web content.
