CNN leaked the question though, they all knew the question would be "who won the debate".

Not many years left in this republic if history is any indication. A government with a foundation on what amounts to legalized bribery will not survive.

I was going to post about Fortune 500 companies and sustainability and responsibility reporting but I'm just glad there's no more debates.

So after bending down to set the bar so very, very low in the first two debates, here Trump took a hard run, hoisted up his remarkable heft, grazed his stubby little fingertips against the bar, and somehow left it standing. This was his best debate of the three, and yet he cried "no you're the puppet" like a petulant toddler, he called his opponent a "nasty woman" which, lets be honest, is pulling up just short of the b-word in this context, gave multiple incoherent, rambling answers, and twice refused to say he would respect the outcome of the election. There were also moments where he actually put a bit of pressure on Hillary and didn't get totally distracted as in previous debates, and articulated a couple ideas at a level that would get a passing grade in a junior-high english class. But still, take a minute a remember, this is the best he can do. The absolute best. And it still pales in comparison to the debate performance that any other debate candidate has given in any election in all the years I've followed American politics.

Clinton was fine. I've seen some others online say that it was her best, I didn't really think so (but I thought she killed it at the town hall). She deflected more in this debate (especially that brutal conflict of interest answer), ran over-time and had some ugly talking-over-Wallace moments (but then weirdly, every time that happened Trump just spoke up and tried talking over both of them, almost like he didn't want Wallace to get the credit of interrupting her). It would be, to me, an average debate performance in any other campaign. Still, the debate successfully highlighted the intellectual, policy, and character differences between them well, and I don't see any reason for any legitimately undecided voter to slide to the Trump camp after this. Other than a bombshell bit of oppo research (which needs to drop in the next couple days to have any real impact), Clinton has a choice of safely running out the clock, or going for the throat and trying to get the senate and house (with little to risk in trying to do so).

I kind of admire Trump's ability to just go up there and blatantly lie about stuff he's said and just have no hesitation doing it.

Can we please stop with the false equivalence with these two?

Trump is utterly and completely out of his depth. Hillary is a pretty typical politician, plenty of skeletons in the closet, a lot of convenient "change of heart" moments and whatnot. But she's intelligent and generally seems to have a clue of what she's speaking about. She understands the issues, even if you don't agree with her stance on them, she can at least speak clearly and coherently about them.

Trump just spouts off whatever random phrases he feels will fire up his base.
