They have no reason to complain, the only ones who might are Cardinals fans who finished with a 10-6 record in the toughest division in the league. They're going to miss out even though they have a better record than two of the division winners in the NFC.

Whether they have a reason to complain or not the day still sucked for them.

And I agree the Cardinals fans should be pissed.

I think it is time to do away with divisions in all sports but that is way OT for this thread.

If the Eagles win tonight, they're 10-6 and have beaten the Cards head-to-head. Just saying.

Winning the division is a team's primary goal in any sport. That's why teams play twice within the division in football.

If you don't win the division then getting a wildcard is just a bonus. Didn't get a wildcard? Tough.

Ugh. Shades of the Minnesota game. Eagles look like they showed up expecting to win.

31 points is probably game over if the Eagles get there. Cowboys offense isn't the same without Romo.

Have to figure they have someone else in mind already, since it was somewhat out of left field in the last day.

Until the Browns get a legit QB, it doesn't matter who the coach is. That has to be Job One.

Hoyer showed promise before getting hurt. The team seemed well-coached to start the year, and held first place briefly. Coach was a local man and life-long Browns fan. Too bad it didn't work out. Hopefully they have some kind of plan. I will check out the rumours . . .

http://www.cleveland.com/browns/inde...cart_big-photo

"We appreciate Chud's passion for the Browns, and we have great respect for him both personally and professionally. We needed to see progress with this football team. We needed to see development and improvement as the season evolved and, unfortunately, we took a concerning step backward in the second half of the year.

"Our fans deserve to see a consistently competitive team. We have high standards, and there's an urgency for success. When we believed we were not positioned to achieve significant progress in 2014, we knew we had to admit that a change was needed, and move forward.

A leading candidate to replace Chudzinski is Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, according to multiple reports. A graduate of Canton-McKinley High and John Carroll University, McDaniels is a longtime favorite of Browns general manager Mike Lombardi and CEO Joe Banner, who's liked McDaniels since Banner was with the Eagles.

NFL Network's Albert Breer also identified Penn State's Bill O'Brien, the former Patriots offensive coordinator, as a likely top choice, but O'Brien is likely to take the Texans job after interviewing with them on Saturday.

Chud was hired by Lombardi and Schiener wasn't he?

Odd that they would have soured on him so quickly even though it did seem like an odd hire at the time.

4th down and a short yard and you have your back-up, slow QB try a bootleg pass?

Hard for Garret to throw Romo under the bus for that garbage call.

I bet the Cowboys score a TD, but miss the two-point convert. That's how this day has gone for so many teams; so darn close but no cigar.
