If the Broncos lose today, don't be surprised if McDaniels' is fired at some point. The way he has handled this season finale (not to mention losing to the Raiders at home) has to have Bowlen steamed.
If Kubiak gets canned in Houston I could see Bowlen jumping at that opportunity...a guy he trusts completely.

Found this online. Its a betting website that ran 10,000 simulations on how the AFC playoff picture would turn out, and here are the results...

Interesting, and somewhat predictable as when two teams, Balt/NYJ both have their fate in their hands, it would make sense that they get the nod on predictables. But then again, as berman always says, that's why they play the games.

I dunno Dis....as you well know Bowlen is anything but impatient.
And as Mortenson reported this morning on ESPN, Marshall was actually late for treatment on Friday without calling the club, and as such was disciplined for it.
The Scheffler thing however, is just odd to me.
I agree that Kubiak and Bowlen would be a perfect match for each other, but Bowlen made his bed last year and i don't believe he is going to knee-jerk things going forward. Afterall, not many had Denver being anywhere close to playoff spot to begin this season, and IMO McDaniels has actually done a tremendous job as a 1st year guy....beyond the drama of the Cutler saga and this obviously fractured relationship with his WR and TE.

Don't get me wrong Tranny, I love what McDaniels has brought to the team...and they are half again as good as I thought they'd be (remember my 'bold' 6-10 prediction?), but he has got to stop publicly hanging his players out to dry. He has to.
You can't treat players like that. So Marshall was late for treatment, fine him and deactiviate him on Sunday if you want to. Don't regurgitate the past drama for the media to lick up and run with. It can't produce anything positive.
This was fixed. He had a great young receiver who still hasn't reached his full potential in the fold and on board. Now?? It's just dumb.

Ed Werder now reporting that Scheffler and Marshall have been banned from the sidelines and the locker room today in Denver.
Unbelievable.

Yeah that sounds like the days of Gilbert here. Some reasoning for him getting into it with Savard and his attitude. Needed to be done but put him on the fence.
However then when he sent down Lowry to the minors and tried to do the same to Vernon (much to the rest of the entire organization and Peter Maher's vocal displeusure) the writing was on the wall.
Same with McDaniels...easy to take issue with Marshall's attitude during the year. But then combine that with the way he handled Cutler (no matter the outcome) and then stunts like this, make you wonder if he's got the mental makeup to be the slow and steady personality and leader that players and the organization needs out of a head coach in the NFL.
On a totally other topic, the joys of cheering for a 5-10 team during the last half of the season, is to see which broadcasting school graduate and "C" list ex-NFL player as analyst, calls the TV broadcast. Also, which token bimbo they put on the sideline.
