That looks ####ing terrible and the casting is... very bad. I guess it's supposed to be a prequel sort of thing that appeals to teens? I dunno, seems like a pretty enormous miscalculation.

I forgot what a pain in the arse it is trying to avoid 3D movies. Today, tomorrow, and saturday all have limited showings of Dune in regular 2D, and zero showings in an AVX auditorium - at least that I can find
it's not that I dislike 3D. I have quite severe diplopia now, even when corrected with glasses. It's basically impossible to see an image that's split to create the 3D effect
If they made it today with Nathan Fillion and Bruce Campbell, I'd still want to watch it more than the one they made.
It would definitely been more well received by gamers that played the games and probably a better overall movie due to Fillion and Campbell being more natural fits for the roles. I expect the studio is aiming for box office sales which is why they inserted big name actors. Now nobody will be happy and this movie will probably be a flop.

So this has some video game tie-in? No wonder it looks so uninspired. Two buddies on a treasure hunt? High concept indeed.
Anyone who’s not a complete mouth breather understands that 2 Guns is objectively the zenith of Marky Mark’s career and any opinion to the contrary can be dismissed out of hand.

Yeah that game's big strength is the characters and performances really, the casting in this looks to capture approximately none of that.
Someone made a fan film of Uncharted a few years back that did have Nathan Fillion as the lead and, while not as high budget of course, certainly captures the feeling of the games a lot better, especially from Fillion who was basically born to play the role of Nathan Drake:
Ignoring the obvious fact that he could MAYBE play a Nathan Drake in high school movie, Tom Holland is far too earnest to play Nathan Drake. There's nothing smarmy or roguish about Holland. 0%
