Baalke has a well earned reputation of clashing with head coaches and being difficult to work with. How many people were saying that keeping Baalke would be a hindrance to hiring a top head coach? Does Kahn live under a rock or something as he just wasted several weeks of the hiring cycle being late to the party on this move? It's like these billionaires turn off their brains running their teams or maybe they were just luckier in life than they are smart.

Mike McCarthy would probably be the best get for the Jags.

Those rocks are usually go up his nose, he doesn't live under them.
The Jags are the most irrelevant team in the league. I wouldn't at all be surprised if they're pushing to move the team to London permanently. They'll always be the least important franchise in the league with those fools in charge.

Shad and Tony aren't the same person. Tony's role with the Jags and Fulham is pretty small, even if he'd have you believe it wasn't.

Just curious. Has anyone met a Jags fan in person? Do they exist outside of Florida?

Jerry realizes that he's 82 and the clock is ticking right? I don't believe he's ever been a head coach before and as an OC he's very middle of the road. This has failure written all over it but there is a sliver of a chance that the guy is a better head coach than OC I guess. Jerry is starting to look as crazy as Al Davis was in his 80's.

Liam Coen is gonna be a Jags legend even if he's the worst coach in history, single handily got Baalke fired. Of course, the Bucs have a chance to make this the funniest #### ever if they fired Bowles now to keep Coen...

I think it might be smaller now but he for sure had a bigger role at Fulham when they first bought that team and were going through relegation. And did have some more involvment in the early days with the Jags too.
Now I think he's less involved but I think it's more because his dad let him fund his own pet project in AEW to get him away from Fulham and the Jags lol.

Sounds like he has ghosted the Bucs and is all in on the Jags.
The owners kid runs a wrestling company that gets like 1000 fans in stadiums lol.
No wonder everything they touch turns to ####.

Yeah Coen better hope he lasts becuase he burned a few bridges in the NFL the way he's left Tampa.
In other news, Brian Schottenheimer is the favourite in Dallas now? After Russ got him fired in Seattle the year before Russ left, Russ has made the playoffs once.
In other Seattle related news Pete Carroll is emerging for the Raiders?

That Coen situation is pretty crazy. Stopped answering the Bucs calls and secretly flew to Jacksonville. Not the way you want to conduct business in a league that's an old boys club. He better hopes he kicks ass in Jacksonville because it's a pretty bad look.

On the other hand, good for him. He bent Khan over quite badly, sounds like he'll be getting at least what Ben Johnson got for a contract. Plus there's always the college fallback option if he sucks, can earn huge money there too.

I don't hate the hire. Pete's a young 73 and he will bring some credibility to the franchise and build a culture which is something the organization has badly lacked for a long time.

Pete is definitely the culture guy, but really depends on his staff for the nuts and bolts of winning games. Have to see who he brings in.
And he will need an analytics or time management guy to help him with clock and replay decisions.

The entire NFC West now has veteran, big name coaches. Clearly made an immediate improvement with the Broncos & Chargers, now it's the Raiders' turn.
