I attended all sessions, sorry for the lack of live commentary. I had no idea Rogers Arena is 28 years old now, even though it's not the newest, the double concourse, additional bathrooms, and natural light make it feel more modern than it really is. Just another one that we'll have to soundly beat when our new barn goes up in a few years.
It probably wasn't a total sellout but most sections were filled up pretty well even considering the lack of superstar power. If on TV you saw the section behind a player looking really empty, that was usually at the start of the match before everyone found their seats, it's also where the VIPs were and they tended to be in and out a lot.
Foot traffic around the area got nuts when combined with the Coldplay crowd next door, but for the most part Van did a nice job hosting and even mostly held off on too much gloomy weather. Canadian fans were boisterous when needed but polite about service noise.
Real cameras weren't allowed so all I got were phone potato snaps, but here's a sample:

Just to add to Jack's post above, my wife and I were there for the Friday afternoon session and I was pleased to hear the huge pop from the crowd when Milos was introduced for Team World. The only other guy that received as loud of a cheer was Felix.
Ben Shelton looks like he's going to be a problem, the dude has a big serve, but also can hit some very nice groundies and also not shy to throw in the drop shots.
Also, if Francisco Cerundolo had a bigger serve, he would be knocking on the door of the top 10. His forehand is massive and his foot speed is top notch. For a guy who grew up on the clay courts of Argentina, he looks damn good on hard courts.
My wife really enjoyed the live tennis, we attended the BJK Cup at the Pacific Coliseum earlier this year and I think I successfully have the wheels in motion for future live tennis events (perhaps a trip to Indian Wells or Toronto/Montreal is in our future).
Overall, a fun weekend in Vancouver.

I will add from a Friday/Saturday perspective only, the event was first class in the sense that the venue, production and venue were all top notch. This made up for the obvious disappointment of not seeing any of the top dogs in action and obvious drubbing by team World which made the event not quite the battle you'd expect.
All in all, it was worth the trip as the tennis we were able to watch on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon was very high quality and highly entertaining.

Still plenty of tennis left this season as the Asian swing has started and Felix has drawn Holger Rune in the first round of the Beijing tourney.

In Charleston, Galarneau is playing a huge American kid (surprise surprise), Ethan Quinn. He's serving bombs, looks unbreakable. First set 6-2.

Alexis loses 6-2 7-6 to Ethan Quinn - I watched a little of the match and it appears that both guys had MTO's in set 2. Galarneau has played a lot of tennis over the last three weeks, he probably can use a break.

I just took a closer look at the Charleston Challenger event and Tomic the Tank Engine is playing in this tourney. Tennys Sandgren is also partaking.

Looking at the Beijing draw to find Rune and Tsitsipas both magically overcame their injury troubles that kept them out of the Laver Cup last weekend. What a bad look on the players who claimed just a few days ago they were unfit for the event.
As a paying attendee of the Laver Cup (which was still great), it really irks me that these two players would come out and obviously lie to everyone (and the event) to sell tickets under the assumption they will be there. Better yet, numerous players that did bother to play in Vancouver somehow made it over to China to enter the same event!

Rune I believe is legit banged up. Yogurt is suffering from a broken heart or something.

If the Laver Cup were in China they would have played.

Tomic and Sandgren both lost their opening round matches. Maybe they should think about joining the pro pickleball tour?

I've played on some courts that were not in great condition, but nothing like this...Click on the tweet to see how bad these courts are.

3 years ago today the 2020 French Open began. It was one of the craziest tournaments in history of tennis; but even in the most bizarre French Open it ended with the most familiar sight, Rafa holding Les Coupe des Mousquetaires.
