No offense to Vikes fans, but I think that team is lucky to not be sitting at least at 10-6. The San Francisco and Baltimore games were pretty flukey/lucky wins.

I guess this is why the season is 16 games and not 12. After 12 weeks it looked like the Vikings and Saints would be a sure bet for the NFC Championship, now they both have a lot of questions going into the final week. It really is astonishing how close all those teams could end up from 2 to 6 in the Conference. Come playoffs it really does look like anyone can beat anyone on any given day.

That missed face mask on Peterson was brutal in OT.

That Cutler TD pass put me in front by 0.72 points in my fantasy league championship and raised my winnings by about $400!

What he said.

Brinkley just isn't doing his job, neither are the safeties mad Winfield clearly isn't 100%.

This defense just isn't going to win us any games in the playoffs.

Pro Bowl rosters released:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4780284

Six different Eagles selected to the NFC side. I'm happy that guys like Cole and Jackson got recognized, but I think Brent Celek deserves to be there instead of Jason Witten. I also don't think Jason Peters should be there.

Team breakdowns as follows:

Arizona - 3
Atlanta - 0
Baltimore - 4
Buffalo - 1
Carolina - 1
Chicago - 1
Cincinnati - 0
Cleveland - 2
Dallas - 6
Denver - 5
Detroit - 0
Green Bay - 2
Houston - 4
Indianapolis - 6
Jacksonville - 1
Kansas City - 0
Miami - 1
Minnesota - 7
New England - 4
New Orleans - 5
New York Giants - 1
New York Jets - 3
Oakland - 2
Philadelphia - 6
Pittsburgh - 2
San Diego - 5
San Francisco - 3
Seattle - 0
St. Louis - 1
Tampa Bay - 0
Tennessee - 1
Washington - 1

Broncos send Bailey, Dawkins, Dumervil, Clady and Marshall. All 5 are well deserving IMO.

Dawkins, in particular, was outstanding this year. Clady probably deserved to go last year more than this but he will probably play in 10 so who cares.

Bit surprised that there isn't a single Bengal on the roster, given that they are one of the teams headed to the playoffs.

Schaub pretty much did everything humanly possible to get on the Pro-Bowl, but it is pretty hard to argue with the selections of Manning, Brady and Rivers.

I agree except for Bailey. He made it on name alone, he's been good this year, but not pro bowl good. Good for DOOM to make it, he deserves it.

Yeah, tough competition in both Conferences at the QB position this season. Have to think that one of Manning, Rivers, or Brady will be in the Superbowl and open up a spot for Schaub.

Also agreed about the Bengals. Antwan Odom was definitely on the track to get there until he got injured. Still others on that defence like Keith Rivers, Jonathan Joseph, or Leon Hall could have been on the team.

Vernon Davis is the starting TE! Well deserved but still a surprise with better known names also in the runnings.

And Andy Lee has been solid all year long, behind only Lechler in punting average.

Schaub will be there anyways because there is a damn good chance one of those 3 qb's will be in the superbowl.

Saints DE arrested on DUI.

Quote:
Police spokesman Gary Flot says McCray, 28, was stopped by an officer who saw him speeding about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. He was booked into Orleans Parish Prison on charges of driving while intoxicated, speeding, careless operation of a motor vehicle and not having his vehicle registration with him.
4:30 in the morning running around speeding while drunk? Nice discipline there. This is the kind of stuff that makes me wonder about that teams ability to deal with success....not that this may not be a completely isolated incident, but it raises question marks in my mind.

ESPN's power ranking for week 17...and much like the NHL version of these things, one just has to shake their head at some of the list.

As an example, the Cowboys are at 9, yet have beat both Philly and New Orleans on the road, and both those clubs are raked way ahead. Makes no sense IMO.
