Just played against the Oilers, beat them 6-2. I found I was able to score too easily in that game, so I had to adjust the sliders again. I played a rematch, and I lost 4-1, found it harder to score.
I'm playing on pro right now, so maybe I'll notice a difference switching to all-star and leaving the sliders where I had them when I beat the Oilers 6-2

I did something similar. Leaving the sliders & changing the difficulty was the answer. By the end of the season, I'm thinking I'll just bump up the "CPU Difficulty" slider as I get better at it.

Don't know if it's been said yet, but you don't have to be a 6'0" player from Vancouver in BaP. The players stuff can be changed in the hockey shop from the main menu. Thought I remembered a couple people asking about that.

All in all, so far this game has been a very frustrating experience for me.

You may have a filtered word in your player name. Try changing it to Joe Smith to see if that's the problem.

What I hate about this year's game in the EASHL is the hockeystore. Everyone wears toques, or bright golden helmets. I wish you could have the upgrades but keep your player looking normal in normal equipment.

Personally, I don't really like what they did to the CPU. Offensively that is. Defensively it definitely gives me a challenge. But that's why I play EASHL. It's much better to play with other people, IMO.

Your wrong. Everything BUT the toque is stupid. People with golden helmets, pads, gloves, skates, sticks, they all look like tools. Bouwmeester (me) looks way cool wearing my red toque. Everything else looks stupid.

Backlund breaks his jaw in a fight. I sit him 2 games as a precaution. When he returns, he wears FULL FACE SHIELD. Great small touch.

No one seems to be mentioning what platform they're playing the game on.
I have a Wii, and am wondering how this games fairs for this system.
Anyone playing a Wii version that can comment on the controls?

So I found an awful bug last night...I was playing St. Louis vs. Chicago, and was taking it to Chicago quite nicely, but I got nailed with a penalty shot on a desperation defensive play.
When the penalty shot sets up, I'm looking from the perspective of an empty net, and WAY WAY down the ice, I can see my tiny goalie in the opposite net, and he moves and responds to my controls (but backwards, of course, since I'm looking at him, and he's also only about 30 pixels high). Needless to say, he didn't fare well.
Out of curiosity, since this unfortunate event had totally rattled the team, I decided to cause another penalty shot to see what would happen, and once again, I was forced to take it from the wrong net.
It only happened the one game, but I thought it was pretty funny (not at the time though).

EA doesn't put out the NHL series on the Wii.
You can only get NHL 2K10 on that system.

Thanks, I didn't notice the 2K missing in the title. Wrong thread.

I got drafted by the Wings in BAP.
Though, I'm halfway through the game, against St. Louis, and I've only faced 4 shots. I wish my defense would allow more shots to get to me.

I got a goal and an assist in the Prospects game and was drafted by the Islanders. I wasn't too happy. Second time through was with the Canucks. Thing is...I don't know which was worse.
I don't know how anyone else got picked ahead of me. I was a playmaker too. What do I need to do to get to number one. Riddle me that.

I always seem to get drafted 24th-29th. I always got the message saying I looked lazy and disinterested out there, and that teams would be scared to draft me.

Wow, I just remembered why I don't play online. EA really can't make a game fair.
I played someone with the Flames he was the Manitoba Moose (he insisted). EVERY and I mean EVERY one of his poke-checks/stick-lifts worked, EVERYONE. He gets away with countless interference calls, etc. I do 2 successful stick-lifts/poke-checks the entire game, and have 3 tripping calls.
Seriously, why do I have to play these glitching POS *curse word*?
I beat him 2-1 (he got a glitch goal). What an a-hole. Seriously these people should be banned from playing. What a joke. EVERYTHING he poke-checked worked, I am still in awe how terrible it is.
Now he sends me a message "probably shouldn't have played against Kipper for the AHL achievement". Like screw you. His gamertag is Luongo VAN. ######bag.

prust and regehr for datsyuk and a 4th...
i am on the islanders so i didn't care, but thought it was a cool trade.
