I'd think that if you were in a woman's position you'd at least like to have a choice.

Not sure if you're saying this but it reminded me of this...
I've always really resented the fact that giving birth is completely a woman's decision. The baby is half and half. That is why men pay child support. If women want to be able to choose 100% whether or not to have an abortion without a man's input then the man shouldn't have to pay if the woman keeps it.
In case I'm not clear think of it this way:
Scenario 1: Woman wants abortion, man doesn't, courts say man doesn't matter. Result: Woman gets abortion.
Scenario 2: Woman wants to keep baby, man doesn't, courts say man doesn't matter. Result: Man pays child support.
It is always made out to be that raising a child is a joint opperation between a man and a woman, yet aborting a child is just a woman's decision. Makes no sense to me.
Not to sound too insensitive but just because you carry the baby doesn't mean you get 100% of the say. It should be a completely joint decision no matter what the scenario. IMO if one party wants to keep the baby and the other one doesn't there should be some consideration for both sides.
Now I'm aware that in many cases the guy just doesn't want to take responsibility for something he helped create and that throws a wrench into things but it still pisses me off.
