The system sucks this year. It sucked last year, but a hot goalie and some pretty lucky bounces when needed had the Flames over perform. It had absolutely nothing to do with this scared brand of hockey.

I think he is coaching to the roster he has. If you think this roster is being held back then that’s the real disagreement

No offense diss, but you and a select few others have derailed these GTs over the past year or so bashing Huska for nothing that has to do with the game itself. It's the same stuff every GT. Over and over again.
So yes, sticking to discussing just the game would be lovely and I'm sure appreciated by many on this site. Let's do that.

Reminds me when Sutter lost his marbles, acquiring guys like Ales Kotalik then bragged about the number of 20 goal scorers on the team.
There are guys that have scored 20 goals
And there are guys that are 20 goal scorers
Different things.

The fans boo an obvious penalty.
Flames need one here. Not going to get another PP after this.

Me too.
He probably isn't a top 6 forward, but he can be a useful piece long-term.

Similarly an argument that the team is good on paper, allows posters to not give him any credit of over achieving last year while assigning him the blame for a bad year this season.
Fool-proof.

The argument is Huska sucks and Wolf was the one responsible for last season. This year Wolf is not in God mode we see what Huska's system is. It's a terrible system by a coach who has never done anything in professional hockey and who failed upwards into his his job because he is cheap.

Well it has plenty to do with the game itself, like everything. Why is it ok for the same posters to go in about how it's the lack of talent in every game thread but the coach is off limits? Anyhow I said I would let it go and then other posters kept it going, not me.

That's a different statement. Meh I'm not gonna waste energy defending Sharangovich but Zary competes and is a good player.

Is it a "total pass"? Or is it not blaming a bad game by a very tired team missing two players (including one of the top offensive men) all on coaching style.
What coach gets a different result with this team tonight?
