That's my understanding of it, because there will always be some time left on the PP after the last goal you score, even if it's one second.

Vegas took 5 penalties in the game, and the stat line shows the Sharks went 4/9 on the PP. That means they were 0/4 on the other PPs and 4/5 on the 5 minute major.
