When the other team’s best players play markedly better than your team’s best players ….your chances are slim and none.

There should be advanced stats on refs. Calls per 60, PPs given when a team is down by 1, by 2, etc. Discretionary calls against each team. Discretionary calls made as the back ref. Calls for/against home/road. 5on3s. Calls against other team within start of a penalty until 1 min after penalty ends (even up calls).
Etc etc.

At least the Canucks still look very overrated.

Agreed, if he one times it and it's on net, it's likely a goal.

Could be worse, could be an islanders fan tonight. Up by three on the sharks and lose in OT. Ouch.

To me, Huberdeau has looked quite good this game. Unfortunately, as far as everyone else goes, not so much.

Probably were destined for a better second until the backup lets in an average and then below average goal in the first 90 seconds. That sets most teams back, momentum wise and confidence wise.

Zary has been snakebit the past 4-5 games. Has had chances, but unlucky on finishing them.

Was gonna say, Hanifin treated the Minnesota goalie on that shot the same way Iggy used to square up in a flight. Lots of time to get set up, take off the helmet to make sure no one gets hurt. Rotate around each other for a bit...

Scoring Winger
|
Kings down by 3 in the 3rd won.
Sharks down by 3 in the 3rd won.
Flames down by 3 in the third?
As they say in French, «#jamais deux sans trois#»
So 5-4 Flames on OT.

Fair point. Yet, I hope the “stars” are not waiting Zary to win games for them.

Kadri has slowed down the last couple. Not keeping up with the kid like he was before.
Too bad this team see-sawed. They were actually looking pretty good for a stretch. I thought it was maybe a turning point, not just the rollercoaster going up before another dip.

Also is it me or are the Wild taking "collapse in front of the net" literally? Seems like their whole defensive zone plan is to just flop around on the ice.

The league would shut it down asap. They know damn well the stats would show they have a huge problem on their hands.
