His team is faster and creates more high danger chances.

Execution was not an issue with the Flames.

They are faster. I'm not sure they create a lot more E-W chances. They are a pretty basic team. Look at the stats:

3.2 GPG Canes versus 3.1 for the Flames, only 4 goals more in total. The two teams were 2nd and 3rd in shots for and 1st and 2nd in shots differential.

But the Canes were +52 goal differential versis +11 for Calgary. That's goaltending. Canes had .902 and Flames had .891.

We we finished 2nd last in east west plays so they can't be much worse can they?

They also allowed the least amount of attempts and just overall a better defensive team.

I don't think they have the talent to finish even if they do create more high danger chances which I believe they finished 2nd in the NHL, but we would have find a better breakdown of the danger plays hard to say.

But in theory they do play a similar brand of hockey suppress shots and put pucks on net, I think they probably settle less for the shot and make it a more dangerous shot thats the area we lacked in.
