Again, easy to blame Markstrom. First goal was a great tip, second goal perfect shot with traffic in front, third goal perfect shot. Ridiculous to blame him.
second goal only happened because he made himself small in the net
the third goal, he should have, but didn't, challenge the shooter. He played it timidly and left too much net open
Follow through after a dangerous boarding hit by Hoglander.
Yeah, Stone was really responsible for his stick.
Get ####ed ref.
Yeah, i don't understand that. Hoglander's action happened first forcing Stone's action. How can it be two penalties? It's like how you don't get penalized after an offside.

there have been a LOT of perfectly placed shots against Markstrom this year, no?
At the end of the day it’s the goalies job to make good saves. It’s just simple math really on what’s an acceptable level of goalie’ing and Jacob ain’t hitting it.

I'd hate to be wrong and will gladly eat crow. But, calling any team the Flames play a bottom feeder or a lower quality opponent and therefore should win, is little misleading. As the Flames are closer to the mediocre, at best, bubble team type of opponent than a legit contender.
Horvat with multiple crosschecks at the end, no call?
Ridiculous.

If Huberdeau cannot stand out against a defensively suspect team like the Canucks i am not sure what the upside will be. We are over 1/3 of the way through the season and I am pretty underwhelmed.
First comment here boys! Glad to be here amongst some solid Flames fans
Thoughts in this.
I’ve been doing my best to defend Marky, while tough, being a goalie at definitely not NHL calibre, I can understand some of the plights of bad goals, taking the blame and what not.
Now thoughts: how much do you guys think a lot of Marky’s struggles this year fall on LaBarbera? I only say this cause the things that people are saying about Marky not playing big enough, he keeps playing too low etc, I’ll be honest I do see a bit from Vladar as well. We’re all smart enough here to know that talent doesn’t go away, and Marky is talented. Could goaltending philosophy be the plight of his struggles? Not sure if it’s been explored yet

I agree. Pretty easy to imagine 13 and 19 would have had multiple points tonight.

Not a word. Confirmed by the scholarly group Sloan.
