That really sucks for Kawhi. He was looking like his old self at the start of the playoffs. I just want to see the guy play ball, but these knee issues are going to follow him around for the rest of his life
The 2019 championship looks like a miracle.

Udoka picked Houston because he thinks teams like ours have an upside of 5 in the conference. Can't say I disagree.

Big motivation for the Heat to close this out. They would be facing the Knicks in the next round.
... and right after I say that, the Bucks surge ahead. Game 6 on Friday.

Amazing shot but looked like he pushed off there.
Side note, nothing more annoying when recording the other game but having the score of the recorded game you wanna watch after permanently on the screen of the current game. So dumb.

Giannis really needs to work on his free-throws

It's the NBA man. Never declare a game over in the third quarter.
What a great first round this has been.

I believe in the Jays.

Wow, I wish I would have kept watching the Heat-Bucks game. I can’t believe they pulled it off.

Gotta think that ditching Bud and hiring Nurse looks really appealing to the Bucks right now. They've only got a few years left with the current core around Giannis (Middleton, Lopez, and Jrue all getting really up there in years and no all-star level young players on the team), and they've got to make every year count.
Cavs are lucky to get eliminated on the same night as a #1 seed; nobody's talking about them today, but what was supposed to be a big advantage -- Mobley and Allen on the inside -- ended up getting absolutely bodied. Was looking up the numbers on this, and their 39.1% opponent offensive rebounding rate is the second worst of any playoff team since the 99/00 season.

Raptors going to interview Becky Hammon for coach. I know she was an assistant coach in SA, but I don't like the idea for a couple reasons. WNBA isn't nearly the calibre of NBA, so would her skills as coach be as fast thinking as the mens game? I personally don't think so. Secondly, being the trailblazer certainly makes headlines, but if things don't work out early on does anyone have the ability to terminate her or does she get more rope than necessary because of the obvious? I know it's a controversial statement but it's the reality. With a team looking to develop talent this could be one of their most important hires for years to come. They have to get it right. If she's the right person so be it but I'm hesitant to be the trailblazer in this case, because I don't think she would be the best candidate.

Trae going full Jimmy mode to start game 6.
Cs avoid the same fate as the Bucks. Have to face the 6ers in round 2, however.

The the first bolded...ooof. You just said she thinks too slow for the men's game because she's a woman coaching in a different league. I'm pretty sure that anyone can watch and understand how games are played despite the league they are in.
To the second bolded...double oof. Literally saying she wouldn't get fired because it would be, what, an affirmative action hire and not based on merit? Prone to bad PR?
I don't know what decade you're living in, but it isn't this one.

And the whole thing ignores Becky Hammon was an assistant with the Spurs for 8 years and already has a lot of experience in the NBA.

I agree that jumping from wnba coach to nba head coach would be too much of a stretch. The games are very different.
But that is absolutely not the case here, she has progressed in her career and absolutely has experience with the mens game at the highest level.

I stand behind what I wrote on the first one. You’re filling in the wrong blank man. The women’s game is loads behind the nba. I’d say that if it was a man they were considering poaching from the same league. I also wrote that if she’s the best one so be it. But that conveniently is left out. I can see how the second bolded part is a bias on my part. Completely my fault but on the first it’s not about being a woman in itself in that the game is different where even as a coach you have more time to think.

Kings force game 7. Would be cool to see two upsets in round 1 of the NBA playoffs for once

Lakers and Heat winning are both technically upsets.
