Aside from a couple players, this is a good showing from the Flames on the 2nd half of a back to back.

Sutter needs to rotate 4 new guys into the lineup next game.

Ruzicka-Dube-Mangiapane was the best Flames line in that period by a ways. Youngest line I guess.

Monahan’s decline is heartbreaking as a Flames fan, but at some point the team needs to move beyond it.

Adam Ruzicka is a better NHL’er than Monahan is at this stage. Mony just can’t play.

Big 3rd period. Total gut-check time. The team is tired - can they push through it and find the extra few strides required to win this?

They were two goals off giveaways. But the Flames were also beat generally in that period.

At times...most of the momentum was because of those goals though. Flames outshot them.

Yeah, the worst part is that he actually seems to be trying but he just can't play the same way.

3 game in 4 days, 2 big wins and a decent start to this one. The guys are tired they don't need to be pulled. 1 game sitting for rest max.

One period to try to clutch out a point. Flames haven't been moving their feet for the past two games, coasting at times. Tired of seeing Monahans line (whichever line hes apart of) getting scored on. Time for popcorn season ending surgery on LTIR.

By “he” I guess you mean Monahan, but that was one goal. The other was not him at all. And I’m saying the whole team was sloppy in that period. It manifested in those two goals but, for example, the top line also slopped it up and parted the seas for the last Caps chance that went hard off the post.
