Have a look at the posting history and the way they posted 10 years ago. And that person wasn’t cheering for the Flames to succeed. They were pretending to misspell names, pretending to like Rasmus’ actions etc. Troll all the way.

He would have been a decent pick where the Flames were originally picking, so the fact they got a few extra picks for dropping down and they still got him is excellent.

It means they gave up 2 goals on 23 shots and only scored 1 on 36 without the last change.

On that alone, it’s at least a decent road game.

They’re not that good as a whole.

Pretty bad look. I hope Darryl talks to them as he needs to get the immature behaviour out of both of these players. I still laugh that we once thought Tkachuk was captain material. He's closer to Alex Burrows than Jarome Iginla when it comes to class and leadership.

Very bad look from Andersson last night but its clearly a player (and a team) that is reaching peak frustration. You hope that behavior is addressed and that they can channel this in game rather than at the end of one.

Edit - Ian Mendes on 960 just now being asked how he'd describe the Flames. Suggests they look like zombies. lol. Thats actually pretty accurate.

The behavior by Rasmus and Tkcachuk was bush league and embarrassing but time to move on. No doubt they understood the implications of losing last night's game and what we saw was frustration.

Not excusing them, neither player has earned their money this year.

I've seen that same characteristic in other people in that age group. They say what they think people want to hear but don't show it. Kinda like how they often do the lip smack thing when they're talking about how important that game was and they needed to play harder. Basically shrug their shoulders and move on. They don't care either way.

We think that they care when they lose, but they really don't care. They want money

To add a bit of context to the whole puck incident: apparently Brady did something similar in December 2019 against Montreal, when Cayden Primeau recorded his first win:

https://www.bardown.com/tkachuk-expl...real-1.1412196

Brady said afterwards that he knew Cayden from his WJC days and that he didn't even know it was his first win. I smell BS on that -- I'm sure he knew exactly what it was (whether he was doing it just to screw with him and planned to give him the puck afterwards, who knows -- but Carey Price chased him down before he went into the locker room).

In any event, I guarantee Chucky knew all about this, and whether he would have mentioned to Rasmus before the game is anyone's guess, but I don't think it's a coincidence that it happened against Ottawa.

Disclaimer: Still a dirtbag play after losing a "must win" game -- not excusing it in any way.

Sutter needs to put Lindholm back on the first line to give Johnny and Monahan some higher-end skill to play with, alleviate some of the pressure, and y'know...make it a complete 1st line that other teams can be scared of.

What about Lindolm between Tkachuk and Gaudreau?

Sutter flat out said last night he wasn't going to move Gaudreau away from Monahan

I just realized that last night was Dillon Dube's 100th game, so that's probably why Rasmus took the puck

Agreed with Darryl's and players' post game comments. It was a tight road game (which they need to play) and that during a tough stretch to score just need a greasy one.

Darryl is an elite coach with a proven pedigree from decades of experience. He knows. Check for chances is how any good team plays. They can't force plays that aren't there. It's just a dry spell offensively.

PP can definitely use greasy mentality (one timers needed also) but attacking the net ES with bodies and pucks will work too.

Flatten the opponents defensive structure (Kylington backhand pass to Lindholm - Dube attacking net too - was an example from recent game) and get inside. Also get it deep, put it in the crease and crash. Just need one to go.

Despite the doom they are doing well to limit defensive zone time plus they are playing hard there. Just score one more than opponents.

Well I guess if we can’t separate them to play with someone else then we may as well trade them together too. It’s not like the two them playing together is elevating their games. When is the last time you said Monny and Jonny dominated a game leading to a win?

I fully expect the Flames to lose 3/4 to make sure that they are well out of the playoff picture. We will then see a stretch of 8-10 games when the pressure if off and they look like world beaters.

They will crawl to within a couple points of the playoff picture only to lose the last couple critical games that matter. Bad draft position and renewed hope that maybe this core has found itself. The Calgary Flames MO

Personally, I don’t care about the Anderson stuff. They need to win games, you don’t get points for good behaviour. They are not playing golf.

If anything, create some hate for the next game.

Why is Tkachuk being lumped in with Anderson's dumb display?
Any opportunity to dig at Chucky too I guess
