Goddam, do I ever love Romano. I wish Yates had been healthy to see a 1-2 punch of Romano and Yates at the end of games.

Yeah, he took the anxiety level down a few notches there, love the guy. Hopefully we can push this inning and add an insurance run or two, but happy either way with how everyone has played today (thornton was rough, but tough to come back after all that time off).

Well apparently Michael King is amazing. 6 innings of 1 hit ball out of the pen.

Merryweather’s change-up is phenomenal. 82 change and then a 100 FB, you’ve got to be kidding me

Merryweather may have some of the nastiest stuff in baseball.

Scored only 3 runs in all 3 games, yet won two.

Not how I thought this series was gonna go but I’ll take it

Sick, wicked, and nasty.

Taking 2 out of 3 to start the season in the Bronx is A-ok in my books.

Wooohooo!! Correct me if I'm wrong but tomorrow is the Rangers' Home opener against the Jays? Which was the game they were allowing 100% capacity for?

Regardless of how stupid that is on a local level, it'll be fun to watch a full stadium for the first time in over a year.

Borucki, Romano, and Merryweather are fantastic pitchers that I hope are Jays for a long time.

Side note, I call Romano Pop-A-Squat. My wife knows who I am talking about when I say it.

Awesome! They look like a solid MLB team. Solid D, good pitching, decent at bats. Merryweather, wow. Wrap this guy up in bubble wrap, his arm is insane. I can see why Atkins and Shapiro liked him, and I can also see why they’re a lot smarter than me.

Some of the relievers have control issues from time to time, but oh my God do they have elite stuff. Really too bad Yates couldn't have stayed healthy, what an addition he could have been to that group. Just hope the rest of them can stay healthy.

Thornton also has great stuff, I think his big issue is between the ears. Hopefully he settles in and gets some confidence.

Really liking the bullpen so far. Merryweather looks unreal to start the season.

Thornton seems to still be working on things. I don't remember his velo being low-90s, I thought he threw a little harder than that.

The Rangers have opened their ballpark to its full capacity of 40,300 for Monday's home opener.

This will be the fourth time that the Rangers have opened at home with Toronto, and Texas has won on all previous three meetings, most recently on April 5, 2010 at then Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Quote:
According to a Rangers spokesperson, less than 1,000 tickets remain for Monday's home opener.
So likely a sellout or very close. I haven't been following all sports during Covid, would this be the first major sport with a sold out, 100% capacity crowd since covid started?
