Wow. What a crazy season already. Hopefully results in a wide open title race. Though I hate clubs like everton spending to 100 million pound a year losses, hope villa and leicester are the clubs that keep it up and make the season interesting.

Are you saying he shouldn't be on TV because of what he said about Zaha or in general?

The former I won't disagree with you but if you're saying in general because of his level of punditry then bs. Or do you prefer a more sterile bland emotionless type of pundit?

Couple of quote from the Guardian tells its own story.
Quote:
Man United: “Utd been tracking Telles since he was at Galatasaray in 2014, is understanding; scouted comprehensively by scouts in Portugal and club’s chief scout.
Quote:
United were in a one-horse race for Telles and still find themselves completing the deal on the final day of the window
And breaking news from the Beeb in case anyone was still bothered.
Quote:
Manchester United target Jadon Sancho seems certain to stay at Borussia Dortmund on transfer deadline day, while a deal for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele is also unlikely.
Smalling is gone which is a plus and at least they had the sense not to lend Romero to Everton. Should make that at least conditional on taking some crap with him.

replacing Smalling with Telles (same fee) makes sense.

couple of 18 year old wingers coming too. Amad Traore from Atalanta for 20m plus add-ons, but staying in Italy until January. Big talent apparently. Plus Facundo Pellistri from Uruguay for 10m, going straight into the first team it seems.

Smalling was CB. Telles is LB?

Unless your suggesting Shaw moving into LCB?

I meant it makes sense to bring in a LB, which we clearly need, for a CB that clearly isn't in Solskjaers plans.

well the fanbase was going to have the pitchforks out no matter what, after they failed to sign Sancho. This window has been terrible either way, so personally I'll take the talented 18 year olds over an idiotic panic buy to be honest.

I still can't fully get the sancho thing, greenwood looked incredible at the end of last season

If you have theoretically 100 million

How are you not focusing on other options in more necessary positions

Partey is a great get for Arsenal, but if you were willing to pay the release clause anyway why not do it a month ago?

I don't think pitchforks are out fire not signing Sancho. He did right by and I think most fans have no issues with him walking away from that price.

Is that he didn't pursue a plan B.

Everyone else just got business done. He just seemed to do a lot of tyre kicking.

I don't know, online sentiment was pretty universal that United botched Sancho because they had a free run at him this time and probably won't again. Woodward thought Dortmund would fold with his lowball offer and they never budged.

Why would they? I have no idea why he thought that.

Dortmund paid what...£8M for him? And he has been great.

This is the thing about big clubs, the smaller clubs know they have deep pockets. So they either hold out for their price or they keep a great player. Other than the potential that the player will pout and play like crap they hold all the cards.

Sancho is young enough that he has to keep playing well to get a great offer.
