They and Rittich have been locked in to start the year. The forwards are starting to find their game, and if they do, this will again be a very good team this year.
I love all the lamenting over missed trades, but I see this as a team that has as much as it needs to be a winner. Mental approach and effort are the only things that are questionable come playoff time, but all the talent is already there.
Yes, the Stone trade would have been great, but then I don't think we have the defensemen we do or the overall forward depth if you sign Stone to that contract.
Zucker has all of two points in 6 games and his team is struggling.
Kadri? Sure, and maybe he outscores Backlund this year by a little bit, but I'll take Backlund's overall game over Kadri's.
I guess what I'm saying is I like this team and the grass isn't always greener with other players. Perhaps a deadline deal will happen to give us an upgrade at a position, but I don't see the need to change anything with these guys.
