Well it goes both ways though, the Ticketmaster price goes up dramatically as it did with this game. Before the announcement these were much lower.
Secondly, STH still have the better value seats in each section. Just had a look and the blues that are available for 170 + taxes are the very highest rows in the corner. Not exactly a great value.

But you're using this one game as an indicator as the case for all games.
In this one limited example (and let's say for ~10-15 high demand games all season) versus the remainder of the 41 that us STH's value in committing to the entire season has eroded. I believe that's the point he was trying to make and I completely agree.

How awesome is it that we have Gio having his best year ever and arguably the best captain in the NHL honouring our former star captain?

Man the Dome is going to be rocking on Saturday night. I wish I had tickets, that's going to be an unreal experience.

My girlfriend tells me last night she wants me free for Saturday night (my birthday is next week), and I tell her that Im busy because I have to watch a really important game game. Then she tells me has tickets to the game and that we're going and sitting right beside the flames bench in row 2... I asked her how the hell she got tickets and how much she paid, and if she knew what was going on at this game. She was totally clueless (not a sports person in the least). She tells me she gotta the tickets back in November because it was my birthday.
So she originally just got me tickets to Minnesota wild game, which is probably one of the most blah games to see at the dome, just because it was my birthday. And then a couple months later they announce the iggy retirement ceremony and she still had no idea. So now, through this brilliant stroke of luck, she lucked into the best tickets of the year! I'm not gonna tell her how much she can sell those tickets for...

My 15 year old son is lucky enough to be going. I'm trying to convey to him how special this is. I think he will never forget Saturday night.
Fan 960 is already playing Iginla highlight clips. It is Thursday, and I'm already crying.

Driving from Prince George for this game. My first in the saddledome and my kids first game ever. Can anyone tell me a good place to get some autographs and when/where/if we can watch the game day skate? Also she wants a Gaudreau jersey. Where is the best value place to get a 10 yr old kid a jersey. Not cheapest necessarily.

This one stings. I split my tickets with a buddy 50-50 and back when we split the games there was no idea this would be the Iginla retirement game. I do not have the tickets for this one unfortunately

That's near where Iggy will come on and off the ice probably?
It'd be great to have seats near the owners' box.

Thank you. We actually picked this game the day before the announcement just due to my work schedule. I think it will be very eye opening for the girl to see what he meant to the city and organization. So excited for this memory for both of us and to share it with so many others.

Isn't the story that MacInnis and Niewendyk didn't want their numbers retired by the Flames, thus the reason for FaF? Hard to fault the organization for simply abiding by the former player's wishes

And for those that don't want to wade through the thread, it is my understanding that Sportsnet West will be airing the entire ceremony for those that can't make it to the Dome.
